[Feds] EZC-Feds Split

Day 1,943, 09:57 Published in USA USA by fingerguns

Gnilraps has declared via public article that Easy Company will no longer be affiliated with the Federalist Party.

While this wasn't actually discussed with party leadership and we found out the same time everyone else did, I believe this move is for the best. With both the Feds and Easy Company growing so quickly, it has been difficult to balance these two entities and it is good that we part ways amicably before hard feelings develop. In Gnilraps' article, he cited the political nature of the party as being a turn off for recruits. The irony here cannot be overlooked, as Gnilraps just finished a term as Party President and his only objective was to make the party more political. I bring that up only to lol a bit.

But it really is more than just political opinions of party members at work here. As he said, EZC members have difficulty moving into leadership without being a member of the party, as per the charter. That is unfair. Conversely, Fed party members have difficulty moving up in party leadership without being a member of Easy Company simply because of MU loyalties. That is equally unfair. The best possible scenario is to be both a Fed and a member of EZC, but everyone agrees that it just feels wrong to require such a thing for people to grow and develop in this game. It is for this reason that I accept EZC's decision and wish them the best of luck in the future.

If you don't know the history of Easy Company, it was the evolution of our party's public service programs, providing food and weapons to our members. Eventually we developed communes to help cover the cost of supplies and soon it was a full blown militia. For the next few years, the party supported Easy Company through all of the ups and downs, and Easy Company has served as one of the best recruiting tools the party could ever hope for.

We have enjoyed this relationship together for the last few years, and a large portion of our Fed population proudly sports EZC uniforms while a large portion of EZC membership is undeniably p/h. It will be a while before that changes, I'm sure. And I suppose it is fitting that I am Party President as Easy Company grows beyond the Federalist Party, as I was the Party President that oversaw its creation.

Over this weekend, Easy Company will be moving off of the Fed forum and to their new home. We look forward to seeing how things develop for everyone involved.

I've been a member of Easy Company since the day it started, and I will hopefully remain a member of Easy Company until they kick my ass out.

Currahee!
