[eUNL] Weekly government update

Day 779, 13:46 Published in Netherlands Netherlands by Ministerie van Media en Recrui

Dear eUNL citizens,

as new Minister of Media&Health I present you the weekly update on your government, its activities and goals. While life in eUNL progressed slowly during the season holidays, the first week of this year turned out to be an exciting and adventurous one for our country.

Ministry of Home affairs

(Minister: Steingrimur)

Last week the MoHA guided the rules and regulations for official eUNL referendums. Goals for the next week are to continue on-going works on reforming our constitution. Some of the texts are currently up for voting in congress while all remaining have entered a second debating round.

The minister wants to remind you that the constitution is yours. You are encouraged to participate in writing it! Please check the thread Constitution Step 2 on the eUNL forum for details.

You can also use the forum to send questions to Home Affairs.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs

(Minister: Trinc)

The MoFA would like to welcome our new Turkish ambassador Aslanfatih and expresses confidence in him. A long-time active eUNL citizen, Smook McSmok, is welcomed as new ambassador to Serbia, Smook McSmok. Due to a number of resignations, the minister is looking for ambassadors to nice countries such as Hungary, Russia and Canada. Citizens, in these times full of war we need you the most.

If you are interested in making your firsts steps into the international field, please contact Yasupa, Garmr or minister Trinc.

We can always use you.

Last week the MoFA started a referendum on merging with the UK according to the guidelines set out by the MoHA. The results were: 46% in favour, 54% against. The government respects your opinion and the outcome of this referendum. For now the focus is to survive, on our own. The minister expresses regret that the merger discussion at times seemed unpleasant and acknowledges the process might have been rushed, but wants to remind us that it is a good thing we have now settled it and can shift our attention to other matters.

The ministry will now focus on reforming ambassador post and on-going matters.

If you have questions for the ministry, please contact Yasupa, Garmr or minister Trinc.

Ministry of State Companies

(Minister: Auggustus)

There are no updates from the MoSC.

Ministry of Recruitment&Coaching

(Minister: Mitch Rapp)

The MoR&C announces that recruiting efforts are going well, with an average of 30 new citizens joining our country daily.

The ministry has opened or refreshed topics on Gathering of Tweakers, Fok, scholieren.com and gamer.nl but is still looking for new sources to recruit new citizens. Any advice on good sites is welcome. If you have any, coordinate with the ministry to ensure our efforts aren't considered as spam.

On the subject of coaching there is still a lot of work to be done. Our country needs a few more coaches to guide our newborns.
Feel free to write to the minister if you want to help.

Ministry of Finance & Monetary Market

(Minister: Boklevski)

The MoF will continue to work on the monetary market by putting up gold to keep the NLG to GOLD rate within acceptable limits. The government has spend a lot of gold to protect us from attacks of Poland and Spain (obtaining MPPs), and individuals buy wellness packs in the current war to fight for our country. This, combined with the new training possibilities, create a huge demand for GOLD, which could push the rates up to new heights. The ministry will counter this and aim for a rate of preferably 1 G = 66.5 NLG, but never higher than 71.42 NLG. The GOLD to NLG rate is currently 1 NLG = 0.015 G. The preferred rate is 0.016, but 0.015 is also acceptable for the moment.

The MoF will start up the weekly reports again - expect the first one this weekend. More detailed information can be found in there.

The re-installed minister sends his thanks for putting your trust in him again.

Ministry of Defense

(Minister: ChristiaanB94)

The MoD is proud that last week, for the first time in eUNL history, we went on the offensive by attacking Poland to help our allies Germany. While our forces closely lost the battle, as well as the battle against Poland in Wallonia, we gained valuable experience and knowledge to help us fight better in the future. After Wallonia was conquered, the Polish swapped it for another region with Spain.

The ministry asks everyone to join our army, so we can send the Polish and Spanish back to their own regions!

Ministry of Raws

(Minister: Garmr)

The minister would like to introduce the new State secretary, please welcome Puc Milamber Condoin.

The MoR is aimed towards supplying our companies with raw materials. This is done for the state companies, private companies can also place an order. Many companies in the eUNL do not use this opportunity. If you are a business owner, you should try this sometime. The only thing the ministry demands in return are CLA-according wages. Grain cannot be ordered to boost our local economy, as we produce it here in eUNL ourselves.

Ministry of Media&Health

(Minister: Capzilla)

With this weekly update I hope to have informed you properly on the activities of our government.

In the upcoming week I intend to update the ministry's guide on maintaining health and prepare other boilerplates and articles where necessary.

If you have any questions for our government of which you are not sure where to send them to, please contact me and I will find the right member of government for you.

Best regards,
Capzilla, Minister of Media
