[eBE] Official Statement about the NE and more

Good day my fellow eBelgians,

I was asked by a lot of people for a statement about the recent activities. As I did not know how to really start the article a conversation with SwaqqCoryn gave me some ideas how to do it.

So let’s start with everything, the things you will be hearing, you may know them or you may not know them. I’m tired of all these things, I’m just here to have fun and as a person, which I already consider as a brother to me, told me, I decided to say everything.
Some people will hate me but I don’t really care anymore. This game is about fun, and what is just happening is sad, really sad. And what happened today just gave me more reasons to say what I have to say.



Before I really start with it a short message to some people:
SHUT THE FUCK UP, seriously. Sadly I have a fucking Life, I go to school, I need my sleep, etc etc. so it’s obvious that I CAN’T IMMEDIATLY START THE ATTACK.
Sorry that I want to have education that I go to school, I see that this game is far more important than everything in my life. I just should give up everything and play this game 24/7.
I’m very disappointed my some messages I got and by some people, who really blamed me for a thing where I can do nothing about it. Let me fucking enjoy my life without constantly having to think about eRepublik.



Now after that’s been said let’s start with the three major points:

1. Is Belgium being PTO’ed ?

After our recent information, yes. We were contacted by several players stating that Belgium is currently in the eye of some PTO groups.
As we can’t tell if it’s true or not, we decided to take this matter very serious. The recent waves and actions of some members of our community increased our suspicion of a PTO.
I consider a PTO a thread but if we are under a PTO attack, I’m not sure about that, in fact there are many voices who say different things.




2. Did Belgium PTO HOPE

I admit it, and you may already know it but yes HOPE was PTO’ed or like other would like to say Taken over in order to support Anti-TakeOver efforts.
A large group of people decided to take over HOPE in order to finally stop the PTO which I mentioned above.
In fact the recent actions of HOPE members had made us suspicious about their plans. The initial idea was, according to my information’s, a spontaneous decision which was developed later on. As you can see on the elections page, every party was asked to only run one candidate as Party President in order to secure the seat there and let mobile voters move to HOPE and vote there. I as CP was naturally included in that group, but being Party President of the ULA I did not move and did not even vote in the elections for Zangetsu-osan (sorry mate)




3. The NE on UK / UK NE on us

The most important matter, so let’s talk about that one. As I said previously, there has been a large group who was debating about possible ATO measures. A wipe by another country was very soon mentioned but due to the fact that new ideas plopped up, it soon was lost in the many messages shared between that group. I was against a wipe; I felt that this was not the best solution to fight this PTO, that this would only delay the problem, not really solve it.
I forgot the wipe idea when suddenly, some days ago while I was in school during informatics I had some time to surf around the web and decided to take a look at eRepublik, during these 5 minutes I trained fought and then went reading my messages when I suddenly saw that the group was planning to launch the NE at 2 pm of that same very day. As I had no time to even write a message and because I would only come home around 4 pm I was pretty unable to do anything. When I came back home, the NE had not been launched yet and I started asking the group what was going on.
I read some more messages, one where tecuvo, our MoFA, had already contacted every CoT SC and the UK CP about our NE. Ofcourse, this was all without my permission as I was unable to connect. The first suggestion was asking France (before talking with UK). I told my MoFA’s that I did not trust France (not remembering that we have no border with them) and asking for an emergency congress vote if they want to get wiped to counter the PTO.
As France was out (due to not having a border with them) the idea was to NE the UK, again I asked for a congress emergency vote on it.
Nothing.
I told them my opinion, that I was against a wipe and that the government would neither support to vote YES on the NE nor NO. Every CM should decide what would be best for our country. There I saw that tecuvo used his powers as MoFA (even though I said that the government would not support voting YES or NO) to inform the people to vote YES on the proposal.
After the NE failed, another one was started short before the NE of the UK on us. Why did the UK NE us?
A PP, Konrad Neumann took this matter into his own hands and contacted the UK CP, Mr. Woldy. He agreed to NE us and soon after our second NE, he NE’d us.

The day the second NE started, people in the group started informing every CM to vote YES on that proposal. But on the next day, the order was: Vote NO or we will have the initiative and have a reduced congress.

Now we are here.



What will happen now ?

The battle will start; I will launch it and let Belgium itself decide where it wants to fight.

But, I urge all our allies to not fight for us, do something useful with your damage and use it where it is really needed, we will not have a chance to last long so don’t waste your damage here, help where it is really needed. Even if wiped, Belgium will support his allies!

To all the young citizens, enjoy the fight; do damage in order to gain some True patriot medals and Battle Hero medals. You will certainly enjoy the gold you’ll get from the medals 

Another thing, I would have loved to get informed sooner about a lot of things. At least 1 week before that the NE would happen, so that I would have enough time to contact CoT and our neighboring nations about it.
Then, I would have liked to be informed sooner about the fact that the UK would be NE’ing us, not at the same time then the whole group!



Final step here, as much as I respect tecuvo’s decision as he is clearly doing it because he loves Belgium, I have to make a statement. So from further effect, tecuvo will be fired as MoFA, Maresal Lengas will be put as vMoFA instead of MoFA.

The new MoFA team will consist of Zangetsu-osan and Dan/naD Wilshire as main MoFA’s and el1temkd and Maresal Lengas as vMoFA’s.

Please no insults in the comments, no swearing, just have a normal discussion. As said before, I know people will hate me, but I don’t care. As CP I have to take decisions which can’t please everyone. If I did something wrong, I’m very sorry for it but I had to do it, not just for every person here but also for myself.
