Day 2,687, 11:10 Published in Australia Australia by Merovingiano

Hello fellow eAustralians,

Sorry for the repeat article. I'm a bit busy with my schoolwork right now and this article was sort of overshadowed by the Peru scenario when it was released

Let's talk about articles! Articles are the lifeblood of communication in eRepublik. Articles are the place to give your opinion on current issues in the world or to just make a joke. Newspapers can be anything you want them to be and at the end of the day they can be a great source of income.

Where do I read articles?
To shorten this articles, read my previous article.

How do I write an article?

In the main toolbar under Community click My Newspaper.

If this is your first time, you'll need to create your newspaper.

These details can be edited later but you should still give some thought to each detail.

Once you have created your newspaper, the screen will look this:

1. Write Article This is the button to make a new article. PRO TIP: Articles are timed from the moment you click this button, not when published. This matters because articles are only able to stay in the top news section for 3 days. To maximize your time in the top news, write your articles in a BBcode editor like this one: link

2. Edit newspaper details This is where you would go if you wanted to edit the title, description, or logo of your newspaper.

Once you click write article, you will need to fill in the title, body, and select a category and you've created an article! Congrats

Now What?
I'm glad you asked. This next picture is what your article will look like to others.

1. Title Pretty self-explanatory

2. Details From left to right, Number of comments, time since "published", where it was published, and what category it was published in

3. Votes Votes determine which articles are in the top news for the last 3 days. The more, the better.

4. Endorsements Readers of your article can choose to endorse it with their own money. This money is given to you, the author. As you can see, when someone endorses your article their name is put at the bottom of your article in the color corresponding to the amount they gave.

So why write articles?
This is a harder question to answer but for the most part people write articles to express their opinions. You can write articles for whatever reason you choose, but ultimately if it is done well they can get you a nice chunk of change. I, for example, average a minimum of 50 AUD worth of endorsements for each article. THAT'S A FULL DAYS PAY! And if they are written really well, you can pull in 100+.

I hope you learned a thing or two about articles here. I'd like to leave you with one last shred of advice: don't be afraid to write articles. Writing them will make you stick out to the community and the community will appreciate having something to read. It's a win-win for everyone. So get out there and write something!

Stay tuned for an article outlining what will happen in the coming days between us, New Zealand, and Peru.

Stay alert fellow citizens!
