Hello Ireland,
last couple of months has been the most active ones for Ireland lately, it all reminded me a lot of v1 of eRepublik. While I miss people like ibhoy, Chewie, Padraig we have finally managed to restore some of the old Irish spirit in this months. Hopefully we will keep up doing the same things in the coming months. So, what am I going to write about?

What makes us Irish?



Irish tradition is to never reject a friend’s call, regardless of the enemy size. If our ally asks us to help, we will march to the battle with no hesitations. Being our friend is a privilage, we don’t have many friends, but we’re loyal to those who are our friends. Being small country has many difficulties, that's why we are proud to have friends who help us in the bad times, so helping them when we can and when they need help is an honour for us. That’s what makes us different, that’s what makes us eIrish. It’s not the pixels, the regions or our national organisations. It’s our people. Even those I don’t always agree with voted in favour of those wars, most of the times we have 100% votes in favour of aiding allies and that’s what keeps me having faith in this game. We are still playing the old v1 Erepublik in which friends meant much more than today. For us, it didn’t changed and I hope it never will.





Ireland in war



Before Tomislav’s term our country has been occupied by Canada, their President/Dictator attacked us and it’s been hard to defend against huge budget they had. Thanks to our great friends, great organisation and very active Government (and Dictator) we have managed to kick Canada out and even occupy them for a while. We didn’t want to keep them occupied since there’s many of our friends there. Canada has always been great friend of Ireland and I can only hope we’ll be able to restore those relations. Not yet, but once. This was the first month in which I can freely say that all members of Cabinet worked together as a team, backed up by Elite and Moo we’ve done some great things and defeated much stronger enemies. After Canadian episode we got attacked by Portugal. Long story short, they wanted us to sign a treaty, but as always we didn’t want to negotiate peace in which we would give away our regions. Once again, Sir Colin of Ireland helped us a lot and we’ve managed to kick Portugal out. Just when we thought we can finally take some time to restore our strenght our allies has started an attack on Serbia. That’s when one of the most glorious operations in history of Ireland has started. I don’t remember us beating the bigger enemy while being their Priority 1 and Priority 1 of their alliance. We Airstriked them directly, we didn't took easier route and we won. If someone told me we would be able to do that I would call him a dreamer. We defeated Serbia in two direct battles with much less MPP’s, we conquered the Papal states and became Holy Irish Empire.







Recovery of Ireland and future strategies



In the last couple of days we’ve been working on numerous strategies and plans of how to make us even more organised and stronger. We came up with several solutions which are going to presented to the public soon. Ministry of Finances is planning many different projects in which our citizens should be happy to involve in. We will try to restore supplies for Irish citizens, it’s something which can be done soon. We have repayed all of our debts and now we can focus completely on making money and re-investing it in those projects and other things. It will of course be presented to the Congress, but I’m happy to announce that we’re now running on more than 25% of the money we had before the huge robbery this summer. Reaching 25% was the harder part, now things are going to get easier. We enabled citizens and MU’s to rent some orgs and make some profit for themselves too. That will continue and expand to more projects. Now, I have been very busy this whole term organising our battles and communicating, organising our allies and friends. That’s the reason why financial update haven’t been published yet. I can assure you that we have more money now than we had in September, plus our debt has been repayed. Money spent in Irish battles in the last two months is huge. But, most of it came from private donations either from Irish citizens or foreign friends (Colin most of it).

What we need to do is focus on long-term plans of how to make this country and its citizens stronger. Those long term plans and strategies can’t be made over one night. We need to count on all potential difficulties which might occur, but I know we can do it. We are capable of it. Now, in this article all of it sounds a bit ‘too much’, but once those strategies are made and presented to the congress it will be published and soon enough you will see the bigger analyses of those projects. I promise you’re going to like them.
