[CP] NAP Treaty FR PL UK : What about eBE and eNL ?

Dear citizens,

We learned a few hours ago that ONE and eFrance have been negotiating a Non Aggression Pact (NAP) treaty. This treaty needs to be approved before becoming official, and may not be signed.

The NAP has been negotiated by an eFrance representative (Papa Frantz, the President of eFrance), an eUK representative (jamesw, President of the eUnited Kingdom), a TERRA representative (Vanek26, SG of TERRA), and an ONE representative (Andrej_M, SG of ONE).

The treaty would result in a non aggression pact between the parties and the following region swaps:

1. Poland and allies will release five (5) occupied regions: Upper Normandy, Lower Normandy, Picardy, North Calais, Paris Isle de France. They will be released by Resistance Wars.

2. United Kingdom will get three (3) french regions : Brittany, Pays de la Loire, Loire Valley, from France or from Poland.

3. Poland will hold 12 regions: Aquitaine, Poitou Charentes, Midi Pyrenees, Languedoc Rousillon, Limousin, Burgundy, Auvergne, Rhone Alps, Franche-Comte, Alsace, Lorraine, Champagne-Ardennes. These regions will not be given up at any moment to any other country.

4. Poland will give France 2 regions : Wallonia, Southern Netherlands.

5. The UK will give France 1 region : East of England.

6. Terra and France will not start or support any resistance war in regions mentioned in point 2 and 3.

7. One and the UK will not start or support any resistance war in regions mentioned in point 5.

Wait, what? Was there something in there about eBelgium and eNetherlands?

Yes, this treaty is quite surprising in that it is involves our country, eBelgium, and our friends the eNetherlands, but that none of the respective representatives have been consulted or informed about it! No messages through official or unofficial channels, just fait accompli, “Surprise!”

Many citizens (eBelgians or not) have reacted to what can only be perceived as arrogance in the sale of part of eBelgium and of the eNetherlands without their knowledge or consent.

These negotiating countries and alliances have decided between them that South NL and Wallonia will be given to eFrance, while these two regions belong currently to their respective countries!

eBelgium is a neutral country and has worked hard to build trust and relations with TEDEN and ONE. If this treaty becomes a reality, it will be a violation of our neutrality and independence, and will be an act of war! We have always been open for discussions with our neighbours in the goal to keep friendly relations, but the sale of our sovereign lands without our knowledge or consent is intolerable.

We immediately informed our northern neighbours about this treaty as soon as we learned about it and they were as astonished as we were. Which is strange as the eNL are a full member of EDEN, and indicates that the TERRA SG has negotiated in secret a plan in which eNL will lose their only region! eNL have been a solid ally of eFrance for a long time now (at least from the eBE point of view), and this new arrangement appears not just unfair but also unjust in view of the help the eNetherlands has provided to eFrance for a long time.

The treaty negotiations are happening just few days after the eUSA and ePL signed a peace treaty in which they agreed to share the eFR rubber regions (without the agreement of eFrance if our understanding is correct), so the people of eFrance should empathise with another country having its provinces bought and sold without its consent.

eBelgium does not want to intrude in the private business of the different alliances but it seems to be a delicate period with the map in flux, and we feel that respect and the honor are two keys value that shouldn't be forgotten in this game. Bonuses won’t last, but friendships and honor are permanent!

That's why eBelgium proudly announces that if this NAP treaty is signed, eBelgium will fight together with the eNetherlands to help defend their independence. eNL has been a good neighbor, often our close friends, and recently assisted us with A-PTO plans. We will stand by their side if eFrance & TERRA unjustly betray them.

We urge the eFR congressmen to refuse to accept this plan, for at least the reason that it involves too many countries that are not even part of the problem between France and Poland, including eBelgium and the eNetherlands.

We do think that eBE and eNL deserve respect and should have been contacted and to participate in discussions and negotiations, which would have avoided trouble with all parties.

We also want to inform eFR that eBE remains ready for discussion, and that we would be happy to organize a training war with them if both sides agreed to pre-negotiated terms.

eBelgium is a neutral and independent country, and we hope that our status will be respected.

This article may be a bit premature, as this treaty have not been signed, but we thought it was our duty to inform our citizens and our friends around the eWorld about the current talks that are occuring behind closed doors and in secret.

In closing, we would like to thanks our friends that have alerted us about this troubling situation. We do hope that it will be solved without any difficulties and that the voice of every country will be heard.
