Ok Keetnawilson made some rather far fetching generalizations

Lets break it down

1. Dictator makes uninformed decision

Ok lets analyze certainly countries try to sway each other hither and tither using gentle persuasion or otherwise:

And there is certain alliances in the world. One being Asteria. We all know our alignment is not with Asteria. And up to about a week ago there was no real wolf on our doorsteps. Certainly Canada is a province of Serbia and Romania. The USA will always remain independent and then we have the UK who was more or less aligned like us. Now when they chose Serbia as MPP red flags started raising . You see Keetna its not about the size of the small dog its the size of his friend

and pathways: Asteria has another pathway to attack us from now.

All that Sluagh did was ring our alarm once. There was never a question of we actually attacking the British .

Also he did consult someone and informed us of his reasons afterwards. The question is why where we not consulted when they chose to align themselves with an Asteria country. As neighbors there needs to be more communication between countries.

Perhaps i was not around or perhaps i could not be contacted by Sluagh. i am properly the most active player in Ireland but did have a project I was desperate to finish.

2. Near Useless President

I outlined several plans and broadcasted them in your article feed. There was here and there a volunteer but not the rip roaring enthusiasms for projects that was needed. Your inactivity translates to the inactivity of government.

Not that we did nothing: We signed Hungary a massive partner. We appeased Bulgaria. We discussed other arenas of wars with other allies. THE MOC held competitions. The Department of Finance tinkered around with finances. Every thing that was put before me I handled with my other duties.

Personally I am hoarding up gold for the perception training facilities and have gotten to 1200 gold.

3. Great Britain, our direct neighbors, and current ally. They have no natural enemy, no active wars. Why is it a terrible decision to declare war with a country that has less 'Country Power' on the rankings?

Because they have triple our population, more allies, a working democracy, no wars to distract them.

Inactivity does not equate to potential. Potential exist in solitude from inactivity. A person can have 160000 strength but if he do not fight every day . his strength equates to 0 damage for his country. Slumbering giants:

almost never wake up from their slumber.

4. a war with New Zealand that is getting nowhere.

We dont have a real war with new Zealand we have a training war . Meaning they win all their resistance wars and we all the direct wars we daily declare. Meaning its meant to go circle and circle indefinitely.

5.If we declare war with them, they have the potential to ally with New Zealand, and destroy us. Even without a partnership, we'd be attacked on both sides.

Lol noob. new Zealand does not neighbor us we had to use a airstrike to reach them. They have to use a airstrike to reach us. Furthermore they are our friends . If they asked we would leave their shores. But they would be noobish as currently we have the concept of empty regions . If i occupy an empty region I do not affect your bonuses. A TW means more true patriot medals etc etc for our own fighters. And when we still had Albania more resistance war medals as well.

6.Now, what would've happened in a democratic system?
Well, first of all, there would be more political diversity. More political diversity would equal more representation of the people in Congress. There would be an informed decision making process in congress, with the ministers, prime minister and president discussing. Our government would analyze the situation, consider future allies, a future war.

Future laws was placed before the dublin commune and people did air their opinion and voted for a certain scope of action.

7.Even with the most informed, qualified person as dictator, dictatorship doesn't work. A dictator has opinions, and always, their choices will affect the whole society, but represent only some. With a congress and democratic system, all are being represented. Even if the final decision is against some opinions, all were represented in the decision making process.

So your article is ironic as the decision to not fight against the Uk was in fact voted upon in the dublin commune.

A dictator is just a game mechanic like a congress is as well. Most of the discussion take place in pm threads. There is a cabinet there is a pseudo congress that includes all active players that want to participate. We sometimes hold votes on certain stuff.

The game does not have that much decision making issues anyway. A congress could only decide on

1.Change taxes
2. Country donations
3. Minimum wage
4. Issue money
5.President Impeachment
6.Natural enemy

and Citizen Applications

The Country President can propose

1. the new message
2. Mpp's
3. Trade Embargoes
4. Peace Proposals
5. Airstrike.

Although congress votes on all these laws.

Currently we split certain decisions between cabinet / the dublin commune and the dictator. So although there is no voting shown by other members in government that is not always the case.

Advantages of dictatorship is legio:

1. More people can be allowed.
2.Protects us from MTO by rogue dictators
3. Protects the money
4. Split power so that there is a trusted group of elders in control of our mutual assets versus an elected person who often is a newbie or has bad intentions in control of the countries assets.

You see Keetna before criticizing know the beast you are promoting.

A country president owns all of the money of the country and all of its gold. So much for noble ideas like democracy if the person you vote in wants to steal all of the money of the country.

Finally Keetna your critic is welcomed although factually misguided its still show some activity. Your more than welcome to join the government next month to immerse yourself in our decision making process and get some much needed education about erepublik meta gaming.
