Intro
Greetings my fellow Dutchmen, Dutchwomenz, greeling, and kooguy. If the title didn't give it away, I aim to run for Country President here in the Netherlands, so this marks the beginning of my campaign, and since this is the start I will keep this article direct and to the point.
Outline of Goals
Foreign Affairs: Continue our goal of being a part of Sirius/Aurora. This involves building relations with key members of the alliance, the USA, Poland, etc.., as well as our key neighbors, Belgium, the United Kingdom, and Germany.Military & Defense: On this level I believe it is important to promote an active military force, which shall aim for two joint strikes a day. This will naturally help us to prove ourselves to our allies. We shall also focus on the efforts into the national Military unit.Interior & Media: Here the continuation of Trout Competitions will be a focus, as well as a more active media department for publishing government articles, and other interactive events for our community.

If you have any questions, or concerns, or would like to be involved in the campaign or possible government. You can send me a private message, or look for me on IRC at #Revolutionary or a few others, but the one listed is the one I pay the most attention too. You can also talk to me if you are just bored, and want someone to chat with, I can be quite funny or at least I think I am, from time to time.

Lol how many months are we being promised to join Sirius/Aurora?
Cuz you totally brought us in an alliance during your CP term.
Ergo, you know very well it takes time and are only coming across hypocritical in your need to 'oppose' a sane and rational course.
I tried to join Sirius/Aurora in my term, but it was clear they didn't want us. Poland made false promises and directly after that ordered Germany to attack us. That is why I called in France, Serbia, Slovenia and ASGARD. France was trying to defend on our side and Slovenia was keeping Germany/Poland busy. ASGARD offered us a region for airstrike and rent where we would be save. Luckily with the help of our allies we managed to save our congress. Poland didn't follow the deal since they did bring that to danger, they cannot be trusted. My focus was going to LETO, where we would be more than welcome. I almost fixed a MPP with Serbia, since I had good contacts with their CP at the time. The CPs after me totally ruined any chance to join ASTERIA/LETO/ASGARD by attacking them and betraying old friends. What did it bring us? Sure they are thankfull and yeah they want to sign some treaties. But they do not want to see us as equal and accept us in their alliances. The CPs after me all have been gambling on the wrong horses clearly.
To parafrase a former Sirius SG: You are not too small to join any alliance, but you need to rebuild the damages done by van_ass.
That's the full and only reason why you couldnt join Sirius in your term. We had more damage support from PL/US/etc in a week of battles against Norway than the mighty van Spijck gained us in 12 months of RW's.
You tried to join? By doing what exactly? I was in your MoFA department and there really wasn't a strong emphasis on joining any alliance. It was discussed a couple times but MdR would always waffle when it came to actually having to do something. You expected Poland to just put us in Sirius without regard for what other countries in Sirius might have thought especially when you consider how our relations with Belgium were at the time. How is that reasonable? And you clearly show no understanding of alliances by your comments. We would certainly not be seen as equal in LETO because those countries are inherently beneath Asteria. You actually believe Serbia would view us as equals? That is honestly so laughable. And really? They have been gambling on the wrong horse? LOL! Maybe you should take a look at the map and look at how "horrible" of a position we are in being pro-Aurora/Sirius. xD
Fact is that we are still no part of any alliance. I myself was focussing on joining the alliances together with MdR. Unfortunatly he did not involve you enough in it, but we had about 6 meetings with Polish/Sirius officials. Sirius officially denied our membership, because only one nation was speaking a veto against it: Poland. Politics in big countries change course a lot, that is why we should watch out for them. In 2 months nobody will talk about how we helped them anymore.
We aren't at the moment because as has been pointed out already, you don't just join an alliance without establishing strong relations with the alliance members themselves. Yes, MdR was a horrible MoFA and did not involve me or most in the cabinet. And knowing MdR, I'm guessing some extra "things" were included in those meetings like ending the current treaty we have with Poland and trying to manipulate his way into the alliance and manipulate Sirius. There is a reason why he has such a horrible reputation with other countries and why he had always been so unsuccessful in the past. By the way, the UK is still very appreciative for our help last month as you can see by their actions helping us in the war with Norway by taking the southern Norwegian regions. They have not forgot about us and by their own words have suggested a treaty with us and Germany and Belgium so I fail to see how they have forgot about what we did to help them.

I'm actually very happy with maintaining neutrality. As I understand it, we can join ProSirius easily, but we have been shooting for something a little bit more. Either way we have strong and good allies now to help us out and we help them.
