[BOK] AndreasIsaksson, my promises and the upcoming elections
Boklevski
The elections are getting nearer. I hereby publish a shortened article to explain my promises to you all.
One of UNL’s leading players, AndreasIsaksson, will come back when I am elected!
He is still trying to convince you not to vote on me, because he is a man of his words, and he HAS to come back when I will become CP. Remember: even when I don’t win the elections, every vote on me might be considered as an encouragement for him to return!
[Poll results] Close elections: your vote will make the difference!
I have raised a poll on the forum, to see which candidate people will vote on. This was mainly for fun, because the people there are not representative for the whole population, but one insight I did get. The results were extremely close. Intenze and Myers11 received 6 votes each (27😵
, I received 5 votes (23😵
and Pierre and MaartenW receive 1 vote each. With the results being so close together, every vote will be important on the 5th. Don’t forget to log in and vote for Boklevski!
The future when I become CP
In my last article, I went into detail on the things that electing me as Country President would bring. Because it was quite a large article, I hereby sum up the most important points:
1) Focus on new players (Recruitment) and helping them (Coaching)
2) Government is a mix of experience and upcoming citizens
3) Regain governmental transparency: know what they do
4) Training wars
1. Government adjustments
I will make small changes in the government structure: most important, recruitment and coaching will be split. This is currently handled by one ministry, but I want to get the best results out of it. Recruitment (getting people to join eRep and eUNL) and Coaching (helping new people) are both so important, that different teams should be put on it. This divides the workload, so they can focus on their tasks. Coaching will also get a budget, to advertise in-game any interesting educational articles they have written. We can only get forward when we grow, and when we help newer citizens!
2. Government
The people in the government will mostly stay the same. This is to keep the things going, that are currently being worked on. Guys like ArtemIvanov and Hans Rienveld (Recruitment), Konrad Neumann (Foreign Affairs), Mattio (Coaching/Education), Tim Veltkamp (Defense) and Antiko (Finance) will be able to prove themselves again this mandate if I get elected. AndreasIsaksson, who has done awesome work in the past, will be installed as Prime Minister again. Of course, I have also opened up space for newer players, like Yaren6 (SS of Foreign Affairs), because all citizens should get the opportunity to participate in our country!
3. Transparency
The weekly news should come back… every week. Additionally, I will create – at my own costs! – an organization and newspaper for the PM and CP for official statements. Most of the time, this was done in own newspapers, but I do not like to get subscribers (personal benefit) when fulfilling a public function like PM/CP.
4. Training wars
Having peaceful training wars leads to a stronger nation: economically, military and on personal development. We should critically review the training wars. If the PHX training war does not provide us with enough wars, we should look at, for example Venezuela/Colombia training war. We do need to move forward, though.
Comments
Vote Boklevski!
Otherwise we will conquer you 😛 (now this is the part where you're supposed to be afraid... )
Mmm, what is this AndresIsaksson stuff, you are not trying to win votes with his return, are you 😛
>3. Transparency
Sorry, I really dislike people that use this in their gov statements. If someone feels there is not enough transparency he is too ignorant to be active on the forums/irc.
Otherwise I might have voted for an AI'tje.
No, I just like reminding him of his promise. I know he's still reading through his organization, so I'd like to scare him a bit that he has to return >.<
Good luck btw o/
@ Garmr: I introduced transparency in the Finance department (my compliments to all MoF's after me who kept it up, I know writing those reports are a huge pain in the ...), so I know providing transparency is time consuming. I am also heavily involved in the forums, and indeed, much is there.
However, not all citizens read the forum every day.
I feel it's the task of the government to reach out and provide them articles with the news, instead of just assuming that those citizens are "too ignorant to be active".
/me ignores Boklevski 😛
Voted, good luck Boklevski !!!
