Why Make A Newspaper?

You might be wondering why do people waste gold to create a newspaper? Why do they do it when it could be saved for a better use later on. While I can't reply for everyone out there I can speak on my behalf. As a newbie one of the first things you notice is the newspapers and media. You then learn it is at level 8 when you can create one. For me I thought of this as a kind of right of passage to being a real player not a newbie anymore. So I set my goals and worked hard and trained every day to get to this point. Then level 6 hits and I got my 5 gold, I go out and buy a used house for 2.5 gold. So then I train and work more and hit level 7. I can join a political party now. I go and join the Conservative Party. I then applied to the National Guard and have since then been accepted. Then today I work and train and I get a new message on my to-do list to create a newspaper. I silently celebrated as i sat at my computer trying to think of a name for my newspaper. I decided on The Digital Composition News mainly after trying to think of something to go with my nickname of DC. So anyway I see creating a newspaper as a way to be more involved in eRepublik and really feal like a member. Pleave vote and subscribe if you actually liked it.
