What should we do?
H E X
I didn't have too much time for eRepublik lately, but I thinked about our future.
There is a question which must be answered as soon as possible if we don't want to let eJapan get in full apathy: What should we do?
We have a good relationship with the Hungarian communitiy, a lot of them are helpig us, and I'm really appreciate it (and of course other nations' struggle too). They help in negotiations back then, but it seems like their goverment(s) don't want to provide us military support. We can hope for the next month always, but maybe it will take forever, especially now, when they are fighting at the Middle East.
Starting new negotiations with Taiwan is an option too, but probably the worst. If we can agree somehow, I'm sure that we will be only a vassal, and it would be almost the same as now.
The third thing we could do is follow SK, and get in touch with Aurora. We are a small community, and admit it, we don't have the power to defend ourselves alone, we need strong friends, who are willing to help us.
In my opinion this is the best we can do. We have to contact Aurora countries asap, and take our future in our hand. Since Hungary is on the pro-Asteria side, we won't have 'offical' help from their government, but they don't really care about us, and our real friends won't leave us.
What do you think? What is your answer?

A peace agreement with Taiwan that includes eSK is the best solution, but probably impossible. They have never agreed to eSK's independence in more than two years. Japanese itizens fighting for eSK was even their original pretext for attacking us. If peace for us both is not an option, then following eSK toward Aurora may be the best bet. We should keep trying for a peace with Taiwan, without ruling out this other option.
As far as I know Taiwan don't want to hear about this kind of things.
I'll be frank. Your odds are stacked against Japan and South Korea currently. I've petitioned eCanada, and it was generally agreed that - despite RoC's isolationist policies - we don't want to risk an internal dispute amongst LETO members. So LETO interceding with RoC is off the table. Furthermore, strained relations in the past in terms of what some members call "ally loyalty" - essentially some, excluding myself, do not trust Japan as an ally due to ITS isolationist policies. You can try Aurora, but some members may not support Japan or South Korea's member because those members - namely Ireland - are trying to present a warmer picture to certain LETO members, namely Canada. Still your best bet.
Japan is alone in the world, as it always really has been. In the past, it was only nominally in PEACE (from my memory anyway). I can't speak for its other allegiances. Sadly, this time around, it is wiped and lacks the strong community and resources it needs to win this war. You cannot defeat the US or Taiwan. You just can't. I hate to be the bearer of bad news on this one, but I'm apparently the only person who seems to care enough about the eJapanese situation to talk about it.
I have been authorized to accept eJapanese refugees into the eCanadian polity. This is, to some of you, completely unacceptable. I agree. After all your hard work, it seems an outrage to quit now - especially after so much sacrifice. This is not even to mention that eJapan is your home, and any true patriot would hold out to the bitter end. However, you are nearing the bitter end.
So, for those interested, I have a ring of Congressmen to aid in your immigration and a political party you can join to push those interests. If you're interested, let me know, and we'll help you.
My heart goes out to the eJapanese and its plight. May the light of the rising sun shine down upon your struggle.
All the best,

Bruce I am glad to see that there are friends of eJapan in eworld. I hope that in future Canadians and Japanese will fight side by side against
usa. but watch-out for Taiwan they jooined with usa against us -I hope that they wont do to you also
They already have. They outright refused to help us during our liberation efforts, citing an NAP they refused to abandon with the US.

I'm really happy to see someone outside of Japan who want to help us!
Thank you for everything mate!

Here's the thing, Hex.
Years ago, I was a citizen of eJapan. They called me Hitoshi Makoto, though far worse behind my back, I'm sure. They had good reason, though. I trolled them, treated them terribly, didn't take the game as seriously as I should have. I wronged a lot of people. Why? Guess you could say I was acting out. Those were tough years for me in real life. Not an excuse for my behaviour, by any means, but it is some insight as to why I treated the game as my own stage to throw a tantrum. I destroyed the perfect opportunity to help build a community of great human beings, who tolerated a brat's actions.
Years pass.
Though I still face challenges daily, as we all do, I've matured a hell of a lot. Recently, and by that I mean a couple months back, I decide I want to give eRep another shot. See how it's change. I saw that eJapan had sunk into the abyss. Something in my heart snapped within me. It must've been guilt, the feeling that I so carelessly threw away an opportunity...and now it was gone, forever.
I got into contact with Sophia, the only person I remember from those days who was still playing. She was the main media figure in those days. Well-respected. Glad she was still playing. She told me what had happened. My jaw dropped. I knew I had to make things right.
I'd come back in a heartbeat to save Japan, I really would, but by the time I was in that position I'd dug in the eCanadian community. These people are great, very reminiscent of eJapan in its glory days. I don't want to screw it up with these people. Don't want to blow two opportunities.
So I sit from my post here in eCanada, as its Vice President, determined to right the wrongs of the past. That is my goal in eJapan, to save it...I owe it that much after damaging it so long ago. This is me repaying the debt, and apologizing for being such an obtuse child so long ago.
So don't thank me, I don't want you to, but humbly accept my apology.
