Walls closing in...
Songtsan Gampo
The great days of this game linger in random google searches. There is no option to be 'Nationless' so I go to my final bastion of solitude, Nippon. I attempted to help a small group in Sweden against surmountable odds. Their main fight was against corruption, thieves, disenfranchisement, and alliance politics. Overall they could not win due to the fact that no one cares in this game except their true patriot progress and their own personal profit margin. Brotherhood means nearly nothing to most people in this game... and this even has weaseled its way into the Dioist body-politic it seems.
When the server shuts off, will you remember your friends? or your meaningless statistical button smashing? How about all that fake gold in your account from long hours of preparation and clicking?
In the following weeks
"The local elections module will be added as the next step in the following weeks."

Sincerely,
A dude in between names.

You went to help a small group of outspoken harassers who decided to go to eSweden and throw false accusations and then repeat them over and over again until they become the official truth to some players.
Much like Trumpism. Just give names to players and make it stick, SuperG - SuperThief, suggest that players are IRL depressed and should leave the game for their own best. SOG - Wagnergroup, repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat - even though that is as far as our values could come.
And of course react on every counter reaction worse than Italian soccerplayers and feminist bloggers.
I'm sorry but we are not teenagers, we don't get tilted by miserably anti-social incels without real jobs nor families. It's more like we pity them and feel a bit sad for some of them if anything.
Still I understand you and a few others decided to join them, they tried to stir up something and tried to use meta to do it but unfortunately they couldn't handle it and instantly fell in to IRL harassments.
The large group of 'neutral' players took the side of the victims and not those who harassed and behaved like total uncensored jerks.
That is why they failed.
I was here when Dio was. we where the ones Agent Chieftain called Pig Disgusting Capitalist, we Swedes where the ones they pointed at as the one who started and fuled wars.
The Dionists worked for nothing in the state owned companies and was then donated what they needed. It was planned economy and it worked really well for a period in this game. Those Dionists are rare today.
Today many players use the name of Dio to receive personal donations.
Abdul Yusuf would never forgive them.
I came to Sweden to help one player, and it seems Nobel lost steam after energy regen went away. The game Administrators have changed the good (Beta) into this neo-v3/4 Capitalist pig-dog economy where there is no goals for countries other than create and/or promote an ever increasing inflationary bubble in the market (Capitalism).
I miss the collective country goals. eSweden was first in the game with Q4 hospitals in every region. Players moved to eSweden to heal.
We have nothing like that today.

Most likely you'll be granted cs every single time you come back, at lest this much this much we can do for you.. but think also about those left behind. it's commendable to constantly march forward and chase an ideal, but it shows (to me) in the end you still need parents, next to brothers.
This game, eRepublik, needs proper parents that care for it and let it grow well without spoiling it. We, the siblings, can't do that for them, or we can but only to a certain degree.
an excellent analogy, mr Darshu and warmoclo!
indeed, this game needs some good ''parents'' in order to keep it alive, and to grow into something bigger, better and more vibrant.
we, the ''brothers'' of the game, cant do that much, and we can only hope for the best through small actions.
Brothers, looks like the end is nigh!

Oh oh, this man has just stolen one of your names:

he must've changed it
another fantastic article.
indeed, this game needs many changes, and sadly most people claim that they will come ''in the following weeks.'', and yet they never come.
thats why the game needs to have some energetic devs and admins that will add many new, cool changes into the game, and they should add new e-countries in it, new events, new medals to earn, and new modes/features in it so that it can get better and better and in a way that feels fun and rewarding for the players to help eachother out in missions/quests for their e-nations benefit, as opposed to their own gain only.
your quest to help a small group in Sweden against surmountable odds, to help uf fight against corruption, thieves and bullies has been tough but heroic nonetheless.
and i salute you for that!
fyreous and you have told me that e-japan is ( once again) a bastion of hope and order ever since you liberated it from that dictator a while ago, and i see that change in there vividly.
i congratulate you, fyreous and your friends for defending democracy and order in a dying game.
you are heroic people.
Thanks Chris. The old guard in Sweden need to be outed.
