EDEN: Time to say Goodbye
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= -=-=-=-

This afternoon all of you might have read the following article by PiginZen: http://tinyurl.com/ybk72v3

I want to give my insight into this article and make it quite clear that I support PiginZen completely in regards to everything he said. When we joined EDEN under my first presidential term it was a completely different alliance. There was a spirit of teamwork and camaraderie within the alliance and we all worked well together as we had prior to joining EDEN. Every member was genuinely interested in the well being of each other and willing to make sacrifices.

When I assumed my second term as president after just two months it was immediately apparent to me that the attitude of EDEN had totally changed. The preparation, commitment to victory, and the camaraderie had slipped away. We had been conned into a war with the UK and our efforts there had been relegated to daily blocking attacks while member nations pursued their own agendas. When it came time to attack London, our support from them was less than spectacular. I said nothing publicly at the time out of respect for our allies and out of fear of further damaging an already brittle alliance.

Changes were made in regards to leadership of the EDEN alliance and this was supposed to fix some of the problems we faced...it didn't. I personally wanted to withdraw prior to leaving the presidency, but the lack of time and congressional approval prevented it. I also felt that a new President might have a new perspective and new ideas that could alter the course of the alliance. PiginZen has legitimately tried to be a good ally as have other Presidents. This is not a presidential problem, it is a priority problem.

There is one inescapable conclusion that has to be face😛 The members of the alliance are still self interested and do not pursue team goals. There are some nations (not all) within the alliance that have their own agenda and self interest at heart. Before I get the inevitable trolling, I just want to say this: Yes, we screwed up in Sindh. We acknowledged that and apologized both privately and publicly. My only regret is that it harmed Croatia, who I consider one of our finer allies. I would also like to remind everyone, that as far as I can remember, no EDEN nation has ever publicly apologized for a mistake ...ever.

Our apology in public was the final straw for me in terms of our allegiance to EDEN. MANY EDEN Nations have made errors that were just as bad in the history of the alliance. They have all been allowed to apologize privately and the issue was dropped. I feel within EDEN there is a clear bias against the eUSA and other nations (you know who you are). Nothing we can or will ever do will bridge that gap.

Last night was the perfect illustration of that gap in understanding between our nations. South Africa was a critical fight. Their three diamond regions will eventually become titanium regions and they will help determine the course of the future of the world. The eUSA was there to return those regions to South Africa and at the same time give South Africa a small portion of their country back. Some EDEN allies failed to see the benefit of it. The damage stats from the battle clearly illustrated that they were unwilling to fight for South Africa and fight with the eUSA. I question their motives. I think they see South Africa as a pawn they can exploit to benefit themselves especially with open citizenship. I fully support an eUSA withdrawal from EDEN at this time.
