TWO Army is recruiting / eGovatWar

Day 1,987, 23:57 Published in Estonia Serbia by kjork

Hey there,

Two of the three most powerful alliances in the world have their own mobile force unit. It's time to make that three out of three.

It was my plan at the start of the TWO HQ term to start and implement something that would become TWO's primary military force in wars where help can't be as easily organised, such as resistance wars and countries like Latvia who can't afford to sign MPPs with everyone. So we are creating TWO Mobile Corps.

1. Requirements to join

Members:

- must be in division 4

- must do at least 30,000 damage with a single hit with Q7 weapons

- must be a citizen of a TWO or ACT nation

- must have a history of fighting for TWO

- must be willing to move around in order to fight

- must be active in-game, although IRC activity is also recommended

- must use Pulse and it must be activated when fighting.

Members who do not have TWO citizenship must be vouched by a TWO government or by a HQ member.

These are the trial requirements, I expect. We may consider lowering them and including other divisions in the future but we want to see how these requirements go before doing anything else.

2. How it will work

Supplies will be distributed on IRC if and when people are required. All IRC active members of the Mobile Corps will be required to idle there during the day if they can. When they are required for battle, they will post their number of food fights and will be given supplies accordingly.

For those that are not as IRC active, there will be an in-game message that will be regularly updated by the commanders of TWO Mobile Corps.

The Supreme Commander will:

a) Display what the current orders are

b) Give TWO MC members the ability to post their food fights

c) Allow them to join IRC at the appropriate time to allow for more streamlined damage coordination.

Once handed weapons, you will be expected to fight. We track damage through eGov4you and the pulse application for Chrome and Firefox. Nevertheless, bear in mind that if you do not fight, you will be removed from the unit and restricted from partaking in future unit activities!

3. How to join

Just send me or any HQ member a PM saying you wish to join and we'll hand you a form to fill in.

The second part of the article ties in with TWO as well. aVie recently announced a new feature called eGovatwar, which allows users to see military orders in-game as MoDs and HQs set them. TWO HQ, the Slovenian MoD and the Polish MoD have already begun to use it and I would like to see the UK beginning to use it as well.

Once it is installed, this is what your front page will look similar to:

It allows citizens to obtain military orders from both the government and TWO HQ efficiently and means that instead of seeing just the campaign of the day, you'd be able to see what the top 3 priorities are for the country.

In addition to this, orders set in eGovatwar by MoD and HQ will automatically update and appear in MoD news where it's been added, for example this morning's UK Ministry of Defence news:

Why is this a good thing to have?

It means damage isn't being wasted somewhere that is lost or doesn't need hits. It means orders are being actively given to the eUK and other countries. It means that the UK can coordinate damage a bit better. Finally, it also means that the MoD's articles wouldn't need to be in the top 5 to portray orders effectively.

How to get it

Go on egov4you and at the top of the screen next to "pulse project" and "custom alliance and army", you will find a link that goes to "egovatwar".
