Tired of playing games? Time to join a real stock exchange.
Freyja Industries
In an effort to add a little excitement and a new level of realism to the eRepublik game I have set about trying to create a realistic stock exchange for players interested in testing their skills at playing the stock market, at least a eRepublik Stock Market.
Unlike other stock market games, this stock market is a real stock market, based upon a game of course. As such it is dependent on players willingness to sell shares in their eRepublik companies, buy and sell commodities, and invest in companies.
Please feel free to tour our site and post any questions you may have about how this market will work below.

Nice start. Let's have a conversation.
a. the options idea could be made to work and would add a new dimension. If I understand correctly, however, there is no price to purchase an option??? or to set a price for it??? Moreover, there is no flexibility in setting the strike price? Seems to me the more interesting system would let players design their put options including the strike price and a price to purchase the option --- that option price/value likely changing over time in response to market, and time to expiration. Whaddya think?? Right now, the simple call/put system you have more closely resembles a simple com market rather than one for options.
Hello Oliver,
My price was to have the strike price be the lowest possible price at close, or 8pm that day for the amount of gold they are looking to purchase. But you are correct it would probably be more interesting to have the sellers set the strike price.
The price would be the premium, or 1%, 2%, or 3% of the contract price, the total amount you would have to spend to fulfill the contract. If you fail to honor the contract then the seller would receive the premium.
Plato and some MUs are coming down hard on me saying I am breaking the laws of eRepublik so I am beginning to understand why a stock market does not yet exist.
keep me informed... the Admin thing can be a difficult obstacle
I have reread the note from the admins and it appears as though there big concern is that I was "spamming" when asking people for their opinions on the stock market idea.
No problem. From this point forward I will just focus on using my paper to communicate with interested parties.
