to be a little intresting i will post spam articles with a little nice to know information
The 1% that is 50%
you got 100KG potatoes and those consist of 99% water
if you dehydrate the potatoes until they consist of 98% water
how much do the potatoes weigh?
The answer
50KG
now before you say i need to get my head check (already have a appointment) let me explain
before dehydration the potatoes where 1kg solid and 99kg water a ratio of 1:99
after dehydration the ratio changed to 2:98 or 1:49
now the solid part did not increased it still is 1 kg so that means the water part now weighs 49KG
and that is a total of 50KG
