* yeah I'll make it 5 parts, publishing 1 daily *
** read part 1 first or at least the last paragraph and the note at the beginning **

The top gods do not like to interact with common humans themselves. They prefer to leave such tasks to demigods, who are usually referred to as moderators or crew. Some of them are demigods by birth, while some of them are just given godlike powers. Don't try to mess with those, I'm warning ya. Some of them like to strike people with FPs just for the fun of it. Others like to help us, though. In any case, when you do something wrong, you don't want them finding out. On the other hand, when you need their help, pray and they may listen.

Another one who was given the task to assist people, especially the young ones, was Plato. Plato is not a deity, but he's not one of us either. He was a respectable person of the Old world whom Geonaru resurrected and asked him to help out. He accepted the challenge. At some point he took a break and was replaced by Ceasar (another one of his kind), but later on he returned. he was "forced" to retire at the start of v2 era, in order to be replaced by Carla, Siluvaca's offspring from an affair with a mortal.
Plato was not accepted in the palace of the gods in Erepublikland, as he was hoping for, and this angered him. So he then sided with Phanis (a demigod, rejected by Alexis) in an attempt to challenge the gods. We'll get into this later on.

Under normal circumstances, people don't notice the presence of gods. The latter usually just want us to pay our respects to them (preferably on the form of WP or Gld sacrifice) and they leave us alone. Sometimes they do interfere with our lives, however, in a way that everybody notices. Case in point, some of you remember the birth of Lana, don't you?
Alexis wanted to offer humans a gift, so they would in turn increase their offerings to him.
Lana's birth did not happen the way most people believe, by Alexis doing his magic and then saying 'let there be Lana'. Well he did try that, said 'let there be Xana', but he didn't like the outcome and killed her on the spot. Same night he had a dream, woke up h0rn!.. and in the sh0wer... from his $p3rm came Lana, whom he named goddess of war.

PS: You understand I can't give you exact details on the birth of Lana here. You can find them in my book "theogony" which you can buy for 5G when I get 1k subs. not!
