The Dutch National Guard

Greetings all!

I come to you today to inform you I have launched an independent military unit who's sole purpose is national defense. Why do this without official sanction from the MoD? Easy, we have been invaded several times within the pass few months, and our enemies always seem to just over-power us with ease. This being said, one of the few resources we have at our disposal is military units.

As officially structured under congressional approval, we have military units and a chain of command of which we send out our war orders with impressive precession. However, we seem to be lacking those units on this site. Also it seems that those units have a maximum membership of 50 so far (might be wrong on this, just observation). So I have decided to help my country out by spending the gold in a manner as I see as the most helpful, and I have formed another military unit.

The Dutch National Guar😛 This unit's sole objective is homeland defense. We will not officially engage in any active wars beyond our boarders, but we will not restrict our members from those battles either. We will only serve as a civil defense force, independent from normal military command, but respectful of the wishes of our people, as we are a force of the people.

Why have I chosen to make this unit independent of normal military command? Well, I thought about leaving this part out, but I decided people must know to face up to a greater reality. The normal military chain of command is a great tool for organization and action, however, many of it's action are decided by policies that take place on the eNL forum. The reality I pose to the community is that there are many who still do not use the forum, and there are some who will never use it. The forum is a great place for communication and debate, but some people just do not have the time to jump between two sites to the the full eNetherlands experience. So to help those players that love our country, but wish to remain independent, this military unit is for you. A military unit for the casual user who would still like to help their country, but can not devote enough time to play in politics and war games.
