The B for N. Ireland Congress- My Manifesto
The B
I’ve given it some thought, and I’ve decided to run for congress in Northern Ireland for the BEP.
I joined the BEP when I first came to eRepublik and have always agreed with what they have to say. I believe their approach to eRepublik is the best for fun and for the eUK.
I may be relatively inexperienced, but I have a good understanding of the game and will do whatever is better for the eUK and Nothern Ireland. I am also an active member on the forums and like debating items of national interest.
The Economy
Keep the current citizenship fee
The eUK wants a babyboom, and the first step in this is having a low citizenship fee. Making this higher will benefit very little people and will certainly not give us a baby boom
Keep the 1% VAT on weapons
This game is about business, politics and war. I believe that citizens should not have to pay a large sum for weapons to fight for their country. Doing so will boost our countries impact in war and not mean we will have to stay out of some wars.
0% Interest loans for new businesses.
War and defence
The eUK is suffering some hard times, and strong alliances are vital. I will vote yes to any MPP with any country, unless it will create serious problems.
I will also encourage anything to benefit the eUK border wise. As a member of the BEP I will fight for Britain’s reputation.
Northern Ireland
I may not be from Northern Ireland, but I find it a beautiful place and think it deserves some attention. After the current invasion has been repelled, I will aid Northern Irelanders in their campaign to get more people to move there.
All in all:
I will NEVER vote for my personal gain. I will always do what is best for the eUK.
I will value suggestions from anybody and will not instantly disregard them.
I do not believe in valuing one region more than another. No matter how little people there might be, I will never put one region first.
I will do what I can to benefit Northern Ireland and the eUK. Even if I am the only person voting yes or no I shall vote for the best option.

Great manifesto The B!
You'll be a great N.I Congressman.
Thanks 🙂
Quick question, why you not in London atm we are being invaded? 😛
Because The B cares for other regions around the country, not just London.
@ Rory Webster
See above post, thanks Elizabeth.
Also, I have to be in N.I. to run for congress.
The B you should move to London, we are trying to create a fortress region.
I might consider voting for you but there's a problem: I can't see you in the voting list at the minute.
There are currently two official candidates, one 'wildcard' and six "not qualified" (what ever that means).
The only member from the BEP on the list is Aequorth.
I am moving to London shortly.
Henry, two candidates for each region can be officially chosen for each party.
I have seen little on policies here, The B - as an active member of NI and current congressman (Im not running this month), I'd like to hear about what you will do.
I disagree heavily with some of your ideas... The higher the VAT the more money we get. If active citizens of eUK want cheap weapons, there is civiguns. but from the noobs and the two clickers we should try to get some money out of them. To be honest its not a ton of money but its better than what we would get from 1%.
That's fine... I shall take that into account.
Hello B, and nice to see you. Firstly, good luck. I am also running, and am looking forward to a well run campaign.
From an objective point of view, I always like to see Congressmen who contribute to the region the represent, in terms of community and activity. Of course, standing for Congress requires a more national view, but it certainly helps to be involved in the community who you want to vote for you. Being honest, it was one of the main reasons I voted for Tom Fletcher last month-he is someone who is an active part of the eNI community on the forums.
Again, good luck, and hope to see you around the eNI forums sometime 🙂
Oh, and check out my manifesto as well if you will, appreciate any comments;

@The B
"I am moving to London shortly."
So you've withdrawn from the running then? As I understand it, you need to be present in the region to be an MP?
Thanks for the info Tom, btw. Can a person who is "not qualified" win a seat?
@Henry Black
That is assuming I lose. I do not expect to win this month, it's my first time!
Ah fair enough Mr B! Good luck anyway - it's nice to see you establish your name, at least.
Doesn't seem like you quite grasp what Citizenship fees are all about, and voting yes on all MPP's would be a massive waste of resources if they weren't beneficial...(and i don't mean serious problems i mean pointless...)
I will not vote on MPP's if I do not think they will be benificial.
