SHALOM eIsrael,
I would like to formally announce the return of Tao`s eTon. This newspaper will be focusing on the political situation in eIsrael.

Who am I?
For those who don't remember me, I would briefly mention that I joined eRepublik in 2009. I'm a RL Israeli and was highly involved in eIsraeli politics, mainly by creating new party (SHALOM party) which became second largest party in eIsrael, being the home for eIsraeli presidents.
I retired due to lack of time in RL at the end of 2010, giving my user to another player which got a ban so now I opened a new user.
I am a firm follower of the Tao philosophy created by Lao Tzu. In the game I prefer to be addressed as Tao.

What do I want?
The reason for me joining this game in the first place was my belief that in some way this game has an effect on RL people. I believe that those who support RL Israel must play in an honorable way to show other people (not RL Israelis) that Israelis are not "monsters", as in this game we have a very unique opportunity to interact with other players from around the world. This was the main reason for the creation of SHALOM party, as at the time the main belief in eIsrael was that only RL Israelis should play here. I still believe in full cooperation of RL Israelis with "foreigners" and would continue to encourage it now that I'm back. This brings me to eEgypt (which was only a rumor when I last played and now it's our neighbor), as the attitude of some RL Israelis to eEgypt seems very wrong to me. I believe that it's wrong to hate eEgypt because of RL events. In this game we get a rare opportunity to interact with them, and maybe even change their mind about Israel, so we shouldn't waste it. I'm aware that this game is based on having wars but that mustn't make us go overboard.

What now?
It'll take me some time to be fully updated in all things that I missed when I was gone, but I would still like to contribute my opinion on the politics in eIsrael. For now, I can see that current eIsraeli president is doing a good job and I respect him but I do not understand the current political parties. It seems to me that there's no real difference between them and that today they just became a tool to get elected into congress…

I would like to see eIsrael that welcomes all opinions (even if they're not in Hebrew)

ברצוני להודיע רשמית על חזרתו לפעילות של העיתון שלי אשר יתמקד במצב הפוליטי בישראל.

מי אני?
לאלו אשר לא זוכרים אותי, אציין בקצרה שהצטרפתי למשחק ב2009. במציאות אני ישראלי והייתי מעורב מאד בחיים הפוליטיים במשחק, בעיקר ביצירת מפלגה חדשה (מפלגת שלום) אשר הפכה למפלגה השנייה בגודלה בישראל והייתה בית למספר נשיאים ישראליים.
פרשתי עקב חוסר בזמן לקראת סוף 2010 ונתתי את המשתמש שלי לשחקן אחר שקיבל באן לכן כעת פתחתי שחקן חדש. אני מאמין בפילוסופיית הטאו שנוצרה על ידי לאו טזו. במזחק אני מעדיף שיפנו אליי בכינויי טאו.

מה אני רוצה?
הסיבה שבגינה הצטרפתי למשחק מלכתחילה היא אמונתי שבדרך מסוימת למשחק הזה יש השפעה אמיתית על אנשים. אני מאמין בכך שאלו התומכים בישראל האמיתית צריכים לשחק בדרך מכובדת על מנת להראות לאחרים (שלא ישראלים במציאות) שהישראלים הם לא "מפלצות" מאחר ובמשחק זה יש לנו הזדמנות ייחודית לדו שיח עם שחקנים אחרים מכל רחבי העולם. זו הייתה הסיבה העיקרית ליצירת מפלגת שלום, מאחר ובזמנו הדעה הרווחת בקרב הקהילה דוברת העברית הייתה שרק ישראלים במציאות צריכים לשחק בישראל. אני עדיין מאמין בשיתוף פעולה בין ישראלים ל"זרים" ואמשיך לעודד זאת כעת משחזרתי. כך שבנוגע למצרים (שהייתה רק שמועה כששיחקתי) הגישה של חלק מהישראלים למצרים נראית לי מאד מוטעית. לדעתי זו טעות לשנוא את מצרים בגלל אירועים של המדינות האמיתיות. במשחק זה יש לנו הזדמנות פז לדו שיח איתם, ואולי אפילו לשנות את דעתם על ישראל האמיתית, אז אל לנו לבזבז אותה. אני מודע לעובדה שמשחק זה מבוסס על מלחמות אך אל לנו להגזים.

מה עכשיו?
ייקח לי זמן מה להתעדכן לחלוטין בכל מה שהפסדתי בזמן שלא שיחקתי, אך עדיין ברצוני לתרום את דעתי על הנעשה בפוליטיקה של ישראל. כרגע, אני רואה שהנשיא עושה עבודה טובה ואני מכבד אותו על כך, אך לא ברורה לי החלוקה למפלגות. נראה לי שאין הבדל מהותי ביניהם והם הפכו לכלי עזר ריק מתוכן על מנת להיבחר לכנסת...

אני רוצה לראות את ישראל במשחק כמדינה המקבלת את כל הדעות (גם אם הם לא דוברי עברית)
