Returning player looking for opportunity
spifireYG
First thing is first I am not a new player I use to play this game few months ago but it was way more active but I left because of certain circumstances.
Why people quit this game AND what we need to do to prevent that
1)
The first thing I was when I returned was that all of the top articles were mentioning the same thing "The game is dying or Pluto is not doing anything to revive the game" People this is not going to help your just discouraging people to leave this game put yourself in a new players perspective they sign up for the game and the first thing they see is " The game is dying " WTF do you think they will do *Log out and quietly look for another game to player* WHY because why the f*c* would they waste their time with a game that's on a brink of destruction. Instead of complaining about how the game is dying and admins are not doing anything about why don't you get you as* out there and do something about thing it spam youtube, google, forums, other games, etc.
*Deep Breath. Breathe in, Breath out*

WHEN new players come in there's NO opportunity for them to advance ZERO ZERO I tell you try to be a 2 clicker well god luck buddy you gonna have to compete with players with 1200+ gold and 900,000+ CC(Country currency. Well, next option you try to fight DO( Daily orders) every day nice try but you gonna have to play with people that deal 40mil damage per hit that crazy dude who's gonna go up against that kind of people you might as well give up and die quietly. Hey here is another option why don't I focus on politics. well for some people that's even bad idea. I know what you thinking this dude is a nobody what rights does he have to tell us what to do. No, quite I have hardcore evidence ever since I came in the game I have run for congress EVERY SINGLE TIME. I was always the first person to register hey maybe even the most enthusiastic but EVERY SINGLE TIME my party leader puts me DEAD lAST when I ask my fellow party members why well here's their response " meh you don't have any experience you god damn newb stick to your place." well HOW THE HELL IM I SUPPOSE TO GET EXPERIENCE WHEN I NEVER GET INTO CONGRESS AND IM ALWAYS PUT DEAD LAST BY MY PP(PARTY PRESIDENT) MY CHANCES OF GETTING IN ARE LOWER THAN WINNING THE POWERBALL TICKET. I NEED TO GET TO CONGRESS TO GET EXPERIENCE AND I CAN'T GET TO CONGRESS BECAUSE I CAN'T RUN FOR CONGRESS DUE TO NOT HAVING EXPERIENCE*breathing hard* ok 2nd part of the response FOR EVERY PERSON THAT RAN FOR CP(COUNTRY PRESIDENT) FOR THE PAST FEW Months that I have been here they have put the same EXACT GOD DAMN CABINET THAT WAS HERE LAST TIME). MOVE ON PEOPLE. This country needs change and the route we are taking now is a train to destruction. FOR congress, the same people ran every time, every time AND FOR national office the same people ran every time every time every time and they always get elected. EddieA managed me to get me to rejoin this dying game so I moved to SFP(Socialist Freedom Party) and I'm hoping this term everything will be different.

I don't know who the hell is the mastermind for the current budget but its jacked up No I mean fc*ed up really. The taxes are higher than the empire state building in New York god damn it. The government taxes everything you do its so frustrating.

Well, currently I will be running for congress, government position I won't probably get and the upcoming election so vote for SFP. This is the third time I'm coming back don't let me down people and, ALL IN ALL, this country needs change and I hope SFP will bring this change to the eWorld.
I may have hurt some few people's feeling but I need to get these stuff off my chest before I start being completely active again.

You are free to hate or love me but in the end, you and I both know what I say is true
1. Totally agree.
2. Partially agree. You can advance in politics, economics and press. Making things right, you can even influence some battles with your money.
3. Totally disagree. Play the game.
Greetings.
2) you only advance if you spent like more than 3 years playing this thing
Do you REALLY need to be somebody in the battlefield?
I'm nothing in D3 (35k strength) but I was congressman, country president, party president, have one Q5 food company, win 3.5 golds per week by TG and win 100 CC per article written. With that money I put CO to pursue my interests.
Many times, the question is to find how to turn the screw.
I don't know man, I've advanced pretty far.
USA has a lot of experienced players. Perhaps if you want to get into congress you should try taking citizenship in a smaller country
Or mulling over political issues in his newspaper, sbowing activity. In that mode, he could begin in minor party office (secretary or spokesman)
Completely disagree, USA is a good country if he wants to be in congress. It's full of people who either is there to fill the ballot because his party needed it or newbies trying it for first time.
Welcome back, Baaaa!

Being IN Congress will make you want to quit the game.
then why do you support the machine that keeps the game so stall?
he doesnt
oh yes he does
He doesnt.
Hey Rainy, wb.
just because your head is further up the machines arse and cannot see PQ's doesn't mean it's not following yours up the magical anal cavity...
I am sure it was explained to you that to move up on the candidates list you should get more involved at the party level, therefore getting experience.
I spend more than 4 hours in the IRC. I troll the forums WHAT more should i do.
Spifire my man, come to Canada and help build a nation worth living in.
If you want to be in the congress, you should demonstrate you are active and alife, if they see you are trying to learn and are proactive they will surely give you a shot 😉
I do learn and proactive before I left i donated all my resources to my MU so they can supply young players and help them grow
2) Opportunity is everywhere. Learn to identify it. Be relentless. Create it.
I identify opportunity, I approach it, I get kicked out
would you mind elaborating on what you've been kicked out of? here or privately
congress,forums,etc
this is was backed in the day when i use to be really active on forums and someone deleted my topic that was getting really popular and i asked the person why they deleted this their reply was: http://prntscr.com/ahvy53
They were a global moderator: http://eusaforums.com/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=228
it was one of the reason that pushed me to leave this corrupted eSociety
i reviewed your post history. the thread you're referring to was not an eRep thread. the different subforums have different moderation standards.
In addition, there are very few active forum members who have not had at least one post trashed, including me. especially me. 🙂 consider this, someone took notice. Welcome! Can you hang?
Do you have other examples?
let me get you evidence on forum
It is good for older players to hear the observations of younger players (if we listen). It is good for younger players to learn from the experience of older players (if you listen). As an older player who has had quite a lot of success in different areas of the game, here is my reaction to your points:
1. Yes, there is a lot of negativity about the game, and yes, it is unproductive. See Melissa Rose's opinions on this in her recent articles for a good discussion of why. At the same time, it it not hard to understand why many people become discouraged about banging their heads against the same walls over and over again. Sometimes a new perspective is useful to show us how to get around the wall.
2. There are opportunities, but there is no denying that it is harder to get past the roadblocks in some places than in others. Several older and wiser players have already pointed out some of the ways in their comments. With regard to fighting, there are programs out there run by the government, parties and MUs that will teach you how to build your strength without ranking up too fast, will assist you in building your training grounds, and will also give you contacts in the community who can assist you in other areas. The truth is, though, that it takes time, and you will probably never be a top level tank unless you have a large amount of RL cash to invest (not recommended by most). I have been playing for 6 years, have pretty decent rank and strength, and I am never going to be able to outgun the really heavy hitters. That's life. In politics, you really need to become involved in the meta-game in a top 5 party to succeed. This is distasteful to many players, both young and old, but it's the truth. You need to interact with people, let them know you are going to stay active and willing to help, but I promise, if you do this, you will get opportunities. Just ask people like Jaden and EddieA.

I applied for every programs owned by the government and the only one that responded is Meal on wheels
I just finished reading Melissa Rose article her story was all sunshine and rainbow but I experienced a different story when I joined this game.
As for the suggestion that it might be easier outside the eUS, that might be true, but it might not. I got a lot of my political success outside the eUS, in much smaller places. I felt more comfortable interacting with a smaller group of people, and they accepted me. Bear in mind, though, that there are more offices to fill in the eUS than in a country that has only 3 original regions, some of which are occupied on a regular basis. Because these countries are constantly under threat, their communities may be more closed, too. In the end, you choose such a place for love, not opportunity, and you may be happier.
3. I do agree about the budget. Get in there and work to fix it!
4. I have left SFP for my own reasons, but if you take my advice and that of others about getting to know the party members and making yourself known, you will be given opportunity there. Good luck, and don't give up!

I have just returned after a 3-year absence. I shall look around before commenting. ( I deleted my earlier comment as I don't want to speak rashly until I've looked around.)
Welcome back to eRep, Spitfire. o7
Smokey on fire. 😛
Now moving to oppurtunity part, if its congress part, if you are in SFP, you will get all the chance you need, seeing the primaries, you are getting more votes than me. 😃
About National positions, you need to work up the ladder, it requires efforts, its not like erev, where there are only active 4-5 people. I myself started as a Mentor of AU. Then I took steps upward the path. Show people that you mean business, do good work and they will give you position on the next step. Again, referencing myself, I spent almost all my elife working on low positions in DoCA.
Moving to forums, dont care about them, there is nothing there apart from shit throwing and all that. Ignore it, if you get a congress position, just look into congress forums and ignore all other subforums. Most of people there are old players who long edied ingame. They just hang in there to troll new players and have fun. You should prefer IRC, go around talking to people, asking questions, anyone who talks rudely to you, cross him off your contact list and never contact him. Spread out on IRC and get people to know you. You are a great person and a good friend, I hope everybody will like you. Like MQ mentioned, it takes time. Be patient.
I know you spend 5 hours at irc daily, you can even decrease it but if you dont take part in discussions and bug people (talk to people), you are just another nick that is on the channel.
Again, I will repeat, this isnt erev, the community circle of this game is a lot broader, not like one guy is a king and all other actives are his cabinet. You can pretty much guess that by comparing the activity in both, here, everybody is looking for oppurtunities, start from small and one day you will get big.
Be active and willing to help. Thats all I have to say.

Welcome back, many of your concerns are actually being addressed in my current administration at the USWP. I agree with what you have to say initially but there are programs and ways for newer players to be great in what they do, even congress! If you need help please PM me. I would also like to add that I am running a 1,000USD writing contest for my party, in which you have to write a piece about the congressional elections or a recruitment article for an chance to win.
