Can I use this as a quote in the future?

Supposedly rather than getting a new resource that adds 15%, 20%, 25% or 30% to the whole country, and double that in the region we get it in, it's more important to add an extra 10% to one region because that's our food region.

Numpty seems a little tame tbh...

Not sure what the big deal is? We needed a fish in the Y&H so people with food companies could get the full bonus from it. The token would have been wasted.

We have 6 resources left to get, which is 3 each for housing and weapons. Thats all we need to get.

So we took a third fish to give a 10% regional bonus to Y&H instead of trying for cattle in that region to give a 40% bonus (20% country bonus, 20% regional bonus)? How does that make sense?

We didn't try for fish instead of anything, it just happened by itself with no input from us. Regions can have up to 4 resources- we can still get cattle there

Putting fish on the list means we're trying to get it, especially given that no-one else wants it so it frequently sits available for an hour or so. We can still get cattle there, but now we can't get the three additional weapon resources that would be useful, plus three additional housing resources in our housing region, plus cattle, which we might have done before picking up the third fish.

I don't understand. We can still put weapons bonuses in Scotland (or wherever) and housing bonuses in NEoE (or wherever). Fish is the only resource that sits in the pool for more than a minute so any token which is used to get fish would have been wasted otherwise. We haven't lost anything from getting fish without trying - we've just gained another bonus.

We get tokens every couple of hours, so wasting a token doesn't matter. We can only get 12 resources total though, which is just enough to have three regions with four resources each - four food in one, four weapon in another, four housing in a third. Because we now have three fish, that means we can no longer have four of each - we can only have four food (plus two extra fish which add nothing to our bonuses), four weapons, two housing, for instance.

there is a time for humor and a time to be serious. its like sport you get people that play but that are not serious about the sport. that is your group. i cannot think of the reason for 3 fish? i cannot see why your dictator implemented it. it will cost the uk and its not like they have the ability to gather resources outside of their country. if i where you i would step down so that someone serious can handle your affairs.
