Background
Heivoll proposed the creation of the ambassador project, "Ambassadørprogram" on October 26th, 2009. Damien Alexander finalized the proposal which was supported by a majority of the Norwegian Congress.

Law and Guidelines of Norwegian Ambassador Program

§4.1 The Ambassador is a semi-official of the eNorwegian government. He represents our country and is obligated to speak on the behalf of our country and not his personal views.
§4.2 Candidates for Ambassador positions apply to the MoFA, who can accept or deny the application.
§4.3.1 The Position as Ambassador lasts until the Ambassador resigns or is relieved of his duties by the MoFA
§4.3.2 The Ambassador can be laid off directly by the MoFA or by the congress after a standard vote.
§4.4 Every inauguration, dismissal and change in the Ambassador positions are to be reported to the congress on erepublik.no
§4.5 The Ambassador's responsibility is to represent eNorway in other countries, give our government information about important issues or dangers from the other side, and provide updates about the political and economical situations of these countries
§4.6.1 he Ambassador will give the MoFA a weekly update on news, developments, and changes in countries' situations in a form issued by the MoFA
§4.6.2 The MoFA will update the congress on any news and developments of national interest on erepublik.no

Requirements
The Ambassadors should be active in the game, and IRC active
The Ambassador has to be knowledgeable and able to communicate fluently in English
The Ambassador should be extroverted and able to establish contacts and get to know new people
The Ambassador should be able to dedicate time and interest to his position and actively participate in the countries' Forums, IRC channels, and media
The Ambassador should have diplomatic skills and avoid trolling, and not give eNorway a bad reputation
