Italian Resistance Decimated

Day 1,789, 17:42 Published in USA Italy by Frenchy Rossolini

Last night, Italian revolutionary forces were defeated my Montenegrin occupiers, with heavy casualties resulting in the retreat to Calabria.
This recent development marks the most recent in a streak of military defeats, and as Italian forces pull back, the region of Calabria stands as the final refuge for Italian citizens.
With the Sicily and Basilicata regions occupied by Greek forces, Italy's chances of any significant territory gain in the immediate future seems slim.

I spoke with one Italian fighter, bloodied and bruised, as he made his way into Calabria. After comparing wounds and stories, I asked him of his opinions as to the failure of the movement:
"The Italian people," he stated, "Are strong-willed, and we fight hard for lour land. But the Albanians outnumber us, and without outside support, Italy will sink to nothing."
