Inspiration speech, Jamtland Republic style.

As elected Mayor of Jamtland I feel obliged to report what is going on in the republic, not that anybody cares but since its written in the statutes that 'the Mayor Jamtland shall inspire the citizens in the republic, inform of great things that happens in the regions, lie if needed and act as an honest role model for others to follow' I hereby write a report for the period 2008-2014.

Finance
Oktober - November in Jamtland is a lovely period of the year. Its warm, about -14 in average. Its not as crowded as it can be during the eastern when the Stockholm tourists arrives. Now its more normal 1 person per square km. A bit crowded but still acceptable.
Its also a financial good period. That is if you can get your social security money in time that is. Or your sick pension. Or if you are really lucky, both. At least your are not broke as you are after Christmas or after the summer. Sure you are broke, but like I said. Not that broke.


Sports

Sports. Anja Pärson won the World Cup in Åre. Do you recognize the guy next to her?

Östersund applied for winter olympics for the 37'th time and got rejected for the 41'st time. The delegate from Liberia said that the facilities was not very fancy and the money even worse.
Yes, she won 2007, and she is not from Jamtland but Jamtland has no successful sports result to report from the period 2008-2014 so either you get your ass of that couch and win something or you shut the f up.

Military


Jamtland Rifle regiment.

Despite being occupied by Russia, Lithuania, United Kingdom and Poland no military activity can be reported in Jamtland for this period.
Artillery regiment A4, established 1893, was disbanded permanently 1997.
Jamtland Air Force Wing, F4, established 1926, was disbanded permanently 2005.
Jamtland Rifle regiment, established 1670, was disbanded permanently 2006.
Army Technology School, established 1964, was disbanded permanently 2005.

Jamtland Till Breweries, established 1882 was sold to a Danish brewery 1989 and all the Till Breweries brands are gone since long time.

Future

The future will not arrive to Jamtland, its being build along the coastal line and will pass Jamtland. This is because 73,15% of the citizens in Strömsund voted no to the future in an election 1994. The remaining 26,85% where declared mentally handicapped by the local government.
Future is not for us Helga Oscarsson said, we have come this far without it and we don't need it. I don't think future is good for our children either.
