In a Perfect eWorld...

... we would still be playing in V1.
... we would have admins who were not influenced by money.
... we would not be ashamed to tell our friends we play this game (and have for years!)
... we would have a more meaningful political system (more things to do).
... I wouldn't have put 197.5 Gold on the market for 10 CAD each (this happened several months ago).
... today's Congressional elections would end up like this:

Gold for 10 CAD? Seriously?
I wanted to put up 10 Gold for 197.5. I put the numbers in the wrong boxes.
D'oh!
PS
The in-game V1 experience sucked....
That may be so, but it was better than what we have today. Just compare the number of players then vs. now.
Had nothing to do with anything in game
people used to like to circle jerk in off site forums with made up titles and roles, and they took it seriously
Nothing stopping people from doing that again....
V1 had a whopping 7 clicks PER DAY
work, train, 5 pushes of the fight button and you were done - log in again tomorrow
Thats why it worked though Rolo, because it was simple. You could have people log in and do some clicks and be done with it, but you could also put in a ton of hours into the metagame and have it actually be rewarding. Having a healthy playerbase at every stage along the way from two clicker to Jacobi worked a hell of a lot better than the barren landscape we see before us today.
Gnilraps from eUSA has been doing a series of the unintended consequences of the updates to game mechanics and the effect it's had on the community.
While I do enjoy that there is more to do in-game, and some of the changes have been beneficial for me, it's not as satisfying of an experience with such a small group of players left here.
Maybe if there were more things to keep you occupied you wouldn't have filled your time with grand larceny. 😉
I improved the game play in eCanada for over 2 years. Deep down it is something most people only admit to themselves.....
10 CAD lol
Complaining isn't going to bring it back. Plato has invested a lot into the new "upgrades" and its bringing in more money than V1 ever did.
We'd be better off just accepting our fate and either adapt and move on or quit.
Disagree 100% with your Congress graphic.
I miss the V1 economy. Running companies was the reason I originally played this game. Not sure why I ever came back after they killed that.
