How To Fight Tactically - Part 1
HebronGazelle
This is part one of three parts which will teach you how to fight more tactically. Each part will teach to a different thing about fighting if you read it all. This article is about 'Weapons'.
Obtaining Weapons
There is more than one way to get weapons in eRepublik. You can buy, earn, and make weapons in this game, each coming at its own cost.
We shall talk about making weapons first. All weapons made will have been made in a Weapons Factory. If you have spare land, Weapon Factories can be bought at a small price of 10 gold. Although, if you are new then earning 10 gold is quite tough, besides leveling up. If you are new then save up all of your gold until you can buy a weapons factory. Alot of more experienced players will tell you this tip. A level 1 Weapons Factory can earn you around 10-20 weapons. You can level up your Weapons Factory. To get a level 2 Weapons Factory it costs 20 more gold. Level 3 is 70 more gold. Level 4 is 170 more gold. Level 5 is 320 gold. Altough it is alot of gold it will obviously produce better weapons. We shall talk about the different weapons later on.
There is also the choice to buy weapons. Weapons can be bought from the marketplace in the weapons section. A 1 star weapon currently costs 6.60GBP (as I type this). However buying better weapons will cost more. Better weapons have more durabilty (known as 'uses'), and has better 'Fire Power'. So buying better weapons makes more sense unless you are trying to save money.
You can also earn weapons. There are two different ways of earning weapons, though Missions and though Daily Orders. A Daily Order will always be, Fight For ??? in ???. Doing a Daily Order, you must kill 25 enemies. This will always earn you 1 bazooka. You can laso earn from Missions. Certain missions can earn you weapons. If you want to check then go to here:

You can trust that website.
The Difference Between Weapons
There are currently 7 different types of weapons. These are Q1,Q2,Q3,Q4,Q5,Q6 and Bazookas.
Here is a list of the first 6 weapons, their Durability and Fire Power:
Q1: 1 Durability, 20 Fire Power
Q2: 2 Durability, 40 Fire Power
Q3: 3 Durability, 60 Fire Power
Q4: 4 Durability, 80 Fire Power
Q5: 5 Durability, 100 Fire Power
Q6: 6 Durability, 120 Fire Power
A Q1 weapon has the lowest durabilty and the lowest Fire Power. Q2 is twice as good in the Durability section, and twice as good in the Fire Power section. That means Q2 weapons are 4 times as good as a Q1 weapon. Have a look at this next list.
Q1: 1 times as good as Q1
Q2: 4 times as good as Q1
Q3: 6 times as good as Q1
Q4: 8 times as good as Q1
Q5: 10 times as good as Q1
Q6: 12 times as good as Q1
Anyone who is about to argue with this table, look at the bottom of the article as I am good at maths.
There is also a Bazooka. This has a Durability of 3, and Fire Power of 10000. This makes it 1500 times as good as a Q1 weapon. Unlike all other weapons, Bazookas cannot be bought, sold, make or donated. They must be earned.
When To Use Weapons
When should you use weapons? I suggest in battle. Ok, there are some times when you should use weapons in battle and when you should.
You should use when:
The battle started less then 1 hour and 30 minutes ago.
The country is only 30% behind, or less.
You have 150+ wellness avaliable, when you start fighting.
You hate the country you are fighting.
You should not use when:
There is less then 5 minutes to go.
You have less then 50 wellness, when you start fighting.
The country is more then 40% ahead.
Your fighting the United Kingdom (or whatever country your from.
This is just my opinion so if you do not agree then do whatever you want.
I hope you understand about weapons a little better, if you knew it all then I am sorry that I wasted your time.
The Math Thing
For the example, I will prove something I wrote earlier:
"Q3: 6 times as good as Q1"
To prove this, I must also show you these two facts:
"Q1: 1 Durability, 20 Fire Power"
"Q3: 3 Durability, 60 Fire Power"
D = Durability
F = Fire Power
Q1 = D + 20F
Q3 = 3D + 60F
(3D/D) + (60F/20F) = 6
As 3D/D = 3 & 60F/20F = 3
Thus proving "Q3: 6 times as good as Q1"

"when you hate the country you are fighting" lol'd
Also nice article, shold just point out that as q5s cost about 33-35 and yet have 5 uses it's sometimes cheaper to buy 1 q5 than 5 q1s
Maths
5 x q1 (6.6) = 33
Q1: 1 times as good as Q1
Q2: 4 times as good as Q1
Q3: 6 times as good as Q1
Q4: 8 times as good as Q1
Q5: 10 times as good as Q1
Q6: 12 times as good as Q1
Anyone who is about to argue with this table, look at the bottom of the article as I am good at maths.
There is also a Bazooka. This has a Durability of 3, and Fire Power of 10000. This makes it 1500 times as good as a Q1 weapon. Unlike all other weapons, Bazookas cannot be bought, sold, make or donated. They must be earned.
Wrong,wrong, wrong
Both the maths and the thing about the bazooka.
Bazookas give you fixed 10.000 damage, Q1 damage is a function of strength and rank.
Without bringing strength & rank into view, you cannot relate a bazooka to q1 weapons in any way.
Theoretically, it is even possible someone gets higher damage with 1 q1 than they'd get with a full bazooka, but obviously none has those ammounts of str yet.
As for your maths,
D = Durability
F = Fire Power
Q1 = D + 20F // IMPLYING ADDITION.
The rest of the maths is correct, but you start with a wrong premisse, thus you get wrong conclusions.
Firepower = % bonus damage when used in battle (per hit)
durability = ammount of times you can hit.
Q1 = 20% bonus damage x 1 hit = 1
Q2 = 40% bonus damage x 2 hits = 4
Q3 = 60% bonus damage x 3 hits = 9
Q4 = 80% bonus damage x 4 hits = 16
Q5 = 100% bonus damage x 5 hits = 25
Q6 = 120% bonus damage x 6 hits = 36
This is (calc product then devide by 20 for having it obvious) the fairly simple row n².
Thus Q6 is 36 times better than q1, 9 times better than q2, etc.
This concernes only their quality, not their price. Since the price tends to be linear, usually Q5 / Q6 is the best buy. You'll get the same ammount of hits with a weapon, but you'll get more damage off the bonus firepower.
"There is also a Bazooka. This has a Durability of 3, and Fire Power of 10000. This makes it 1500 times as good as a Q1 weapon."
pls show me the math behind this since you are so good at it
