Epic Warfare - update and advice

TL😉R version - The Epic Warfare tournament is a big deal for Australia. If you haven’t fought since Epic Warfare tournament began, don’t start now. If you have, go as hard as you can from now on. Fight in EPIC battles ONLY for the bonus points and if you’re cash-strapped spend money on food rather than weapons.

Long version
I won’t explain the Epic Warfare competition in this article, if you want to know more read the official rules. This tournament is a BIG DEAL for Australia economically. With our country being occupied almost permanently the occasional windfall of revenue from a tournament like this is the only thing that allows us to afford all of the good things a government does, with MPP’s so we can fight, supplies and competitions for new citizens and campaign orders or funding resistance wars.

At the time of writing Australia is ranked 39th of all countries in terms of our average prestige points (PP) per fighter. If we maintain this position we stand to gain 2,000 gold and a Q4 defence shield. We must do better! Fortunately, at the time of writing we only need to pick up an extra 300 PP per citizen to get to 29th and earn an additional 500 gold and a Q5 defence shield. That isn’t very hard.

Here’s some basic advice for those who haven’t been paying much attention:

1) If you haven’t fought yet (i.e. you have zero prestige points shown in the Epic Warfare bar at the top of screen), don’t start fighting now unless you plan to go really hard to make up for lost time and burn through candy bars like there’s no tomorrow to catch up. We have Marcomannius who has already achieved over 76,000 PP but our average PP per citizen is only 1,800. Why? Too many citizens doing just a little fighting, rather than either going hard or abstaining completely.

2) If you have even a single prestige loin then go as hard as you can between now and the end of the competition. It’s too late to abstain from fighting, and every low PP citizen drags our average down.

3) If you’re fighting and don’t have much money, spend your money on food rather than weapons if you have to make a choice. Food is expensive because of the excessive demand, and when you reach the milestones to get extra health recovery you’ll need all the food you can get. Remember a bare-handed hit gives exactly the same PP as a hit with a Q7 weapon or bazooka. Buy lower quality weapons or fight bare-handed to get those extra PPs. If you can’t afford food to keep fighting shout it out and we’ll do what we can to help.

4) Fight in Epic battles ONLY if at all possible. Look through the wars to find one with the little Epic battle icon . Make sure the battle is still in progress (only battles can be Epic, not campaigns), if necessary move to the nearest ally and fight there. Fighting in Epic battles give 3 times the prestige points of fighting in another battle unless you think you can make battle hero which gives bonus points.

Look at the leaderboard below. There are some great troopers going above and beyond with some huge PP earned, don’t let them down by dragging down our national average.
