Epic Warfare and What It Means for You

Day 2,122, 09:33 Published in Japan Japan by Sophia Forrester

Today is the first day of the new "Epic Warfare Tournament." For the next seven days, every citizen throughout the New World will earn one "Prestige Point" for every fight, and ten for every Guerrilla Fight. In addition to earning prestige for our nation, a citizen who fights during this time will earn bonuses, from the simple strength bonus to an increase in Wellness recovery rate. At the end of this tournament, all countries will earn bonuses based on the total Prestige earned by their citizens.

Here to explain the ins and outs of the new system is FNN analyst, Chester Lu Whinoah.

The first thing to know is that every citizen earns Prestige Points equally. Your Strength, your rank, and your citizen level all have an effect on your damage or division, but a Division I corporal will earn the same Prestige as a Division III Field Marshal from spending the same amount of health on regular fights. Since it is the country's total Prestige after the tournament that decides our ranking and bonus, this is an excellent opportunity for newer citizens to get involved and fight for our country! Although in most wars it is the Division IV tanks that carry the day for the winning side, in this contest all divisions are equal.

Next, earning bonuses quickly will help you earn the next bonus even quicker! Once you pass 625 Prestige your Wellness recovery rate doubles. After 1250 Prestige it increases again, to triple the original rate. The increases continue as your personal Prestige continues to go up, so your number of fights per hour -- and the rate at which you can earn more Prestige -- will increase as you earn Prestige. This allows those who make earning Prestige a priority to multiply the effect of their time, earning Prestige even more quickly after putting in the effort at the beginning.

So how can ordinary citizens get to these amounts of 625 or higher prestige, which ordinarily would require you to spend days' worth of Health or buy Wellness Packs? The answer is Guerrilla Fights. Every Guerrilla Fight you complete during the contest will earn you ten Prestige, for a fraction of the Wellness cost. Even better, even losing a Guerrilla Fight will give the same bonus. You might not do the same damage, but you earn the same Prestige and get that much closer to the magic number of 625.

The contest is designed to reward early gains, likely to give an incentive for citizens to buy Gold for Wellness Packs. However, even without that kind of money, by Guerrilla Fighting as often as possible any player can rack up the Prestige and earn honor and bonuses for eJapan! The contest rewards activity and ignores established measures like rank or Strength. Best of all, the bonuses to Wellness recovery rate will last for five extra days after the end of the contest, and bonuses to Strength will stick around forever. For new players, this is a great chance to increase Strength, a stat that can take years to raise as high as veterans!

So to sum it up,

1. All players are on an equal footing.
2. More Prestige now will help you earn more later.
3. Guerrilla Fights are a cheap, quick way to earn Prestige.

Though eJapan is not a populous e-nation, our strength has always been players who have the dedication to put in effort and make our nation great. It's time for those players to fight for honor and justice. Banzai!
