eAus Department of Information
Department of Public Relations Senate Election Results
NSW | NT | QLD| SA | TAS | VIC | WA | National
Hope everyone had an amazing Australia Day! Here's a quick run down state by state of the senate elections.
Apologies for the small image size, if you click the image, it will open full size in a new window/tab.
NSW
NSW saw a close race between the top 5 candidates amassing a whopping 70% of the total votes cast. As usual, NSW had the highest number of candidates, and the highest voter turnout. The trend graph shows a decreased voter turnout over the last few months, with the number of votes cast down 1/3 since September.
NT
NT had the second lowest turnout with only 35 votes to split between 12 candidates. The number of votes cast this month was a slight increase on previous months, after not having NT in the elections in december due to the brazillian occupation.
QLD
QLD had 16 candidates this month, with the winner gaining the same percentage of votes as the bottom 10 candidates. Voter turnout is down significantly from november's high, but about on average taking into account previous months numbers.
SA
SA numbers revealed that a third of all votes cast went to the 10 unsuccessful candidates. Voter turnout has increased over double since september, more than likley due to brazil attacking SA, and the placement of the hospital last year.
TAS
Tasmania had the lowest turnout with only 33 votes to split among 11 candidates. With the winner on 5 votes, it came down to experience points to seperate the other 5 candidates on 4 votes each for the other 4 senate seats. Voter turnout is up on the last few months, but not significantly.
VIC
Turnout was drastically lower in VIC this month with a rapid decline in voter numbers. The top 5 candidates comfortably won their seats, gaining 75% of the vote between them.
WA
Amazing results here, 13 total candidates, with the top 2 candidates gaining over 50% of the vote. WA voter turnout is hard to interpret, due to it only coming back under the eAus flag late last year, and the new hospital being placed recently.
National
ANP were the clear winners this month taking 40% of available seats. AMP were a surprise coming second with 9 seats. AI gained a respectable 8, PaPP numbers were down significantly with them only retaining 5 seats. The LPA gained 2 seats, 1 was banned, and the other left the party.
Turnout was excellent for the AMP (more voters than members!), AI and ANP. LPA and PaPP failed to get more than 50% turnout of their members.
And finally state by state, the highest turnout was NSW. WA was a surprise second, no doubt due to the PM's calls for all citizens to move there and the placement of the hospital. Tasmania and NT were again the lowest turnout states.
Congratulations to all senators, be sure to sign the Senate Protocol thread on the eAustralia forums @ http://community.auserepublik.com

Great article and congrats to everyone who won. 🙂
"The LPA gained 2 seats, 1 of which was removed and banned."
Edit this to 1 removed and banned, and the other (me) leaving the party (as I was actually ANI all along, but just ran under LPA to get under Pizza's cheese). So that would be a whopping ZERO seats for LPA 🙂
@hillbilly jim - updated, thanks 🙂
Very nicely done ... poor LPA 😛
Nice work yet again Bren! And look, I didn't call you Blen this time!
