Department of Information Gazette No. 03-07/06/09

Day 565, 05:37 Published in Australia Australia by eAus Department of Information

Fellow Australians,

We have managed to receive more reports this week from the respective Ministerial departments and we hope this will keep you informed on the current status of the eAustralian government. These reports are from the previous cabinet under Patti11, and from this week onwards the new cabinet will continue providing reports on their departments.

If you can think of anything you would like covered specifically, please feel free to get in touch with myself (Maverick Goh) either by eRep IM or Forum PM.

Here are the reports:

Department of Information:
Report by Deputy Minister Maverick Goh:
As mentioned last week, we have created a new Department of Information website for ministers to post weekly reports and for the public to view them. You can find the website here: http://doif.auserepublik.com/

We recommend our citizens registering for updates and any new posts will be notified via email.

Department of Finance:
Report by Minister Tim09:
Over the last week there has been a great surge in the demand for AUD. Our currency is selling out much quicker and we are considering the possibility or increasing its value to 0.025 Apart from that the currency values remain stable, the markets are stable and we have the biggest amount of taxes to transfer this week than I have seen before.
We are averaging over a grand a day after paying out the citizen fee and often make over $1100 a day.
We will keep an eye on the demand for AUD, and will consider any further action that needs to be taken in that regard.
We paid for the next round of wargames that should have started by now (I am about to leave for work you can edit that if you want)
For the month we had over 700 new citzens, over $32 000 in taxes and have made back more gold than we spent on the RW, companies and defence.

Report from Deputy Minister Ranger Bob:
We have seen some significant demand on the AUD in recent days, which has driven up gold prices. To protect the economy, we have been ensuring the NBA posts a sufficient quantity at the less extreme rate of 0.024 AUD in order to contain dollar appreciation and protect our economy.
In other news, the finances for Centrelink are still well within our approved budget, thanks largely to Aussie Vegeta and Santic, who have been doing exceptional work with MoI in consultation with the Treasury. I expect we will have good news to deliver to eAustralia at the end of this financial cycle.

Department of Industry:
Report by Minister Aussie Vegeta:
Centrelink has been running quite well, there have been more citizens starting to work for the companies again. I attribute this to 2 things, 1. average wages starting to fall again. 2. Incentive given to the ACUK soldiers earlier this week, that if they work for one of the companies that they are given extra weapons.
The Market has been quite stable, I think that people are now used to the prices sitting where they are now, slightly higher than average, but have come down considerably from when we first took QLD and war-games started.
We have started looking at the RRP's and bringing them in line with this.

Department of Foreign Affairs:
Report by Minister Mouj:
This week in Foreign Affairs no actual action has been taken by our department. We see the resistance war in Tasmania is on and that has nothing to do with Australia. I have also received constant messages from the US embassy. They seem to be watching everything we do...

Department of Social Services:
Report by Minister Timothy Rogers:
This week I have just been doing the war games and gifting programme, it's been pretty quiet. I gift about 1-2 people a day spending an average of about 30 AUD each day.

Department of Culture:
Report from outgoing Minister StewartB:
eMentor has still been goign strong with 12 Mentors Volunteering and 25 Mentees participating this month. Also we have 5 people come back from overseas through MT's sponsored from the MoC as well.
