Dear Nonak

Day 2,996, 05:37 Published in USA Netherlands by Fhaemita The Apostate

Hello Nonak,

You wrote an article Nonak Candidacy where you declared you are running for president in a few bullet points to which I responded in the in the comment sections with some critical comments about your idea's and you posted some replies in your comment section saying I am a hypocrite and saying that I was racist. Later you also made a whole article replying to my comments. Although there wasn't much substance to your replies because in no way did you reply to my critical comments I had about your "program" only thing you did was insult and ad hominem attacks on me. But seeing I have not written an article for a while and I am bored I will reply to this.

To start I will give a longer responds to your "campaign article". I already gave some short points where I disagreed or had some critical points. I will elaborate in this article on the points I made.

My first and foremost point was that you only gave some bullet points idea's without a lot of substance. As presidential candidate it is good to have an idea but you have to elaborate on them, how do you think to achieve said points and what are the potential pitfalls of your plans. I have seen neither and that is why I made that point.

You also said that you support a lower tax, the tax was recently set to 25% because of the attacks and the depletion of the reserve to fill the reserves back up to a certain point. This was only a temporary measure and there is already a discussion to lower it back to 18% or even lower. Taxes are needed for the current expenses and to keep to reserves so you're able to set CO's when USA is attacked or help an ally. The main problem with this idea is though is that this is a congress matter not one of the president. Congress make the decisions about taxes and tax level the president has really not much of a say in this.

Also you support higher wages which is one of the reason I think you have no idea about game mechanics. Compared to other countries the wages are already pretty high mainly because of our full bonuses. Wages are based on the market, based on supply and demand and on with what wage you can still make a profit. It is already not easy to make a profit and if you want higher wages it means that company owners won't make a profit and unable to take employees or the prices have to go up.

The dictatorship is something you are against but currently there is no dictatorship, there was a revolution and no new dictatorship has been installed since. Personally I think in the long run a dictatorship is necessary because of the risk of a Military Take Over. Many countries have already been victim of this and not having a dictatorship just makes it a matter of time before somebody will try it in USA. Most countries in Erepublik have a defensive dictatorship because of this. Also dictatorship in Erepublik is not the same thing as in real life, having a dictatorship does not mean you are not free. Basically everything still works the same with some minor tweaks.

The idea of small parties being ale to be represented and elected in impossible ingame because of game mechanics. There is nothing you can do about this as president that is how the game works but it is telling of your knowledge of game mechanics. A option is to give them some representation in the "meta congress" on the forum but again this is a congress matter then and not one that the president can decide.

The only point(s) I made that wasn't based on your program but on you was some remarks about your low rank and low level of medals indicating that you barely play this game. You've been playing this game for nearly 4 months and have 6 medals, 4 of which are True Patriot medals. Only having 1 hard worker medal shows you barely play this game seeing you do not even have to have 30 consecutive days anymore.

As for your replies to me in the comment section and your article in which you attack me, you call me a hypocrite and a racist. I would suggest you look up what racist means, it means "having or showing the belief that a particular race is superior to another" and nowhere in my reply did I even came close to making such assertion. Just being critical on me does not mean I am racist but it seems to be general problem that if you say anything people do not like that person will call you a racist.

For me being a hypocrite because I eBelgian and even president and being in the USAF and not in the eBelgian army, I have been in eUS military units since (with a few short breaks since 2011 even before we had military units ingane. First in the Ultramarines later un US Armed forces and I did some short stints in Praetorian Guards and Seal team 6. I have been longer in US military units then you've been playing this game. How is not being a American Citizen and still be in a eUS military unit being hypocritical? USAF and other American Military strength is and always has been that foreigners also joined and fought for eUS. As president do you belief that you need to be American to be in the USAF?

I never called you a hypocrite or questioned you citizenship you're putting words in my mouth that I never said. If you were born here that does not give you more rights or privileges. I lived in eUS for probably 1,5/2 years I held many political positions and in USAF military units including commander of flight training. You question me because I am eBelgian but in a American military unit but what have you ever done for your country? You're not active in politics, not active as a fighter or anything. There is also nothing wrong with changing countries, I have been playing this game since 2009 and been citizen of 5 different countries probably. If you play that long it is good to changed citizenship, have a different change of view, meet new people and other advantages. To quote Dune "a person needs new experiences. They jar something deep inside, allowing him to grow. Without change something sleeps inside us, and seldom awakens". Staying in the same country is for me boring but that is my preference that is shared with a lot of people. Not many people who played the game for this long has been just in one country.

There are also a lot of assumption you make, you say that I "switch your citizenship because you don’t have a future career in politics" which is based on nothing, you say that I "ashamed you are the President in your Country" you claim that I " are not trusting in your own Army" and you think that I should leave the USAF. Like I have stated earlier in my article the strength of USAF and other eUSA military units have been foreigners also fighting for us. We had multiple non eUSA presidents in the USAF for a certain month. Saying that I should be leaving USAF because I am president elsewhere or because I am not eUS citizen is just ignorant.

To me, with your replies in both the comment section of your article and with your article in which you attack me you just confirmed what I already thought that you are not ready to be president. To be president you need a certain level of maturity and also you need to be able to take criticism. With your replies you have shown you are not able to do either, instead of refuting my arguments or coming with any sort of argument you made it personal and came at me with ad hominem attacks on me. As president you need to refute people based on argument and not start name calling and saying the person is a hypocrite and calling him racist for no reason. I had some valid points I would have loved to hear some actual counter arguments if you disagreed but sadly that seems to not be possible. I wish you good luck with your run for president because you will need it.
