CP Update 2: First Congress Votes and Misc.
Aus Prime Minister Office
Hello, Peoples!
Today I bring you the results of the first round of votes on MPP’s in congress. But before we go to the awesomeness of graphs, I have a couple of other things to mention, starting with a brief response to Rusty D’s interview of an unnamed congress person.
The 2 major points of concern seemed to come down to these:
1) Laws regarding the award of citizenship under a “democratic dictatorship” are quite confusing (I completely agree), and
2) gbr_blue is a big meanie (I agree with that also- but he’s our meanie!). Perhaps we could take a poll on which is worse: His bark, or his bite.
I have no idea what the vague conspiratorial references were about. Just as well, or I’d probably have to kill you.
😛
I do want to remind all current and future congress members (and eager investigative journos) of the many rules of conduct regarding the Congress threa
😛
1. Be civil at all times.
2. Do not screen shot, copy/paste, or quote anything from the congress thread to anyone who is not in that thread.
Further, I request that Party Presidents please communicate with your members who are in congress. Please make sure they are aware of the rules, and allow them a place to ask questions about government processes they may not understand (e.g. a party congress thread).
Cabinet is all appointed now; Welcome to MoD WachaGonnaDu and Governor/MoF gudzabofer! Since there is no available position as Bulldog, gbr_blue will function instead as a Rover among departments wherever necessary. Ilene Dover has promised the occasional educational article, thanks Ilene!
Now, on to the votes, for MPP with Israel (accepted 10-7), Netherlands (accepted 9-8 ), and Latvia (not accepted 8-9). The graphs show vote breakdowns by party. If you find my graphs unclear, please let me know and I’ll try to fix them up. FYI: Y = yes, N = no, abstentions not included.
That’s it for today, peoples. I’ll try to sort out some fun stuff soon! Let me know what’s on your minds…
Cheers,
JackTrout

Brief response? still waiting for the answers to the PM I sent you before the article release (which you asked me to release first). But I am guessing you were busy putting your fellow ADPers and MEK's into cabinet posts.
The cabinet posts (which you asked about, if you recall) were easy. Changing over all my graphics programs took a bit of time.
Rusty, I have other things on my plate besides your interview. As I told you, I'll get to it.
no worries, take your time then. The public will wait, duty first and all that o7
Hail Australia
The "duty" to which you refer was this update for the public. I am going to answer your questions now. I would appreciate payment in hard liquor. 😛
Thanks to gbr_blue for personally paying for the Israeli MPP! That's dedication. 🙂
I really want to thank gdr_blue for paying from his personal fund in order Australia to sign MPP with Israel.
gdr_blue, you are a true friend of Israel.
Also, i'm a bit sad that still there were some congressmen that voted No for this MPP, and i'm all ears to hear why, in order to correct some possible israeli mistakes. Do you think that Israeli mpp is useless cause of the small damage Israel has? Did Israel made mistakes that hurted Australia?
eAustralia recognises Israel as a true friend and ally. And I am not aware of any mistakes on Israel's part- though I don't know if all eAussies are aware of Israel signing an MPP with us last month, and not signing one with your traditional ally, Peru. That was the action of a true friend. Respect!
I thought your Congress is biggur...
Everything in Australia is small.
Lany! 😮
Okay JT, ego's are big, that's about all.
i also would like to thank gdr_blue for the money he spent on the MPP. But also i must wonder did he waste his money? it seems like half of congress does not want Israel. Nor Latvia or the Netherlands. I am curious of what direction some of you are wanting to take here.
These MPP's did not seem to be an issue last term with the same faces in congress.
maybe they were presented better, there was no "we can only afford one", as there was sound fiscal strength due to income from region rents, more income more MPPs can had.
Also Guag if you recall the CPs first paper, he actually recommended that only Netherlands be renewed with gov fund, Israel with private funds and Latvia not at all. From what I see of the voting that is what happened.
Maybe the issue is not with congress, since it appears they followed the wishes of the CP.
And congrats on your brief appointment as PM.
what is probally most upsetting to me is to see that many ppl turning down Israel even though the mpp with us is being privately funded
eAustralia has never been much of a progressive country. I think they enjoy the downtrodden friendless image so they can whine that they never have an help when it counts. 🙂
Everybody hates a winner 😛
Is that why I hate you? 😁)
I will be glad to hear/read the Nebula's SC opinion about Israel MPP issue/vote, by coincidence an Aus congressman too.
