CP Entry - "eRep Warfare Has Walls Instead of Fights"

Day 491, 07:04 Published in Canada Canada by Dutchy

With the topic that I was assigned, criticizing eRep would have been easy. I mean the current battle system has you defending your country by building walls using guns. We’ll ignore the absurdity of this whole architectural endeavor to remind our readers that eRep is basically telling soldiers that they are in fact glorified carpenters. Isn’t that a pleasant image?

Would you trust Tim Allen to protect your children?

What happens if the admins of eRep don’t stop there? What if they keep on taking random tasks and giving them great influence on our surroundings? It’ll spell the doom of the eRep we love. Nobody in their right mind would buy into that. I mean that makes as much sense as turtle killing plumbers rescuing princesses, and we all know what happened when Nintendo tried to do that:

For the sake of our younger readers, DO NOT rent this movie.

Now, while my rant went on for longer than I hoped (damn you Google Image Search), the point of this article was actually to praise this current battle system. The fact that the only way to get into combat is by protecting/attacking a region brings citizen of a given country closer together in order to help their nation. In my mind, joining the CAF was the best decision I made in my 30 something days in eRep. Not only have I met great individuals, it also helped me familiarize myself with the dynamics of the game and in fact achieve a better understanding of the eWorld. In my mind, the eRep warfare actually brings down the social “walls” and helps you get in touch with other players… which leads to forum fights.

And we all know how fun these are...
