Banist Party Premier

Day 2,947, 17:49 Published in Ireland Ireland by Cat Boyd

The ideology of Banism has been resurrected. A new order needs to arise in eIreland - one that differs from the factional in-fighting and will work to unite all of eIreland to greatness.

"Banism (Bane-ism), in eRepublik, was a socio-economic and political ideology coined by MikeBane on May 5th, 2011. The Banist ideology believes primarily in evolutionary/revolutionary socialism, creating an equilibrium with communism and capitalism (thus creating Market Socialism), but a few specifics are special that separates Banism from typical Market Socialism; Banists believe that spending should be focused on military, maintaining worker efficiency, and healthcare; the last two are interlinked."

Neo-Banism emphasizes community development, promotion of education and building education institutions, political democracy, and international solidarity. What does all this look like? What is the Banist answer?

- Community development takes part first by creating social spaces, preferably in-game however out of game can be really effective. Much like the months we had eIrish Radio, a place where players can congregate and socialize. eRepublik is not just a military game, it is a social one too!

- Promotion of education would entail creating an eUniversity, a pursuit that was taken on two years ago mainly by revolutionary leader MikeBane and long-time respectable eIrishman Anthony Colby. Here you can see what the university once was. We should encourage education for all players and also foster the development of our collective knowledge in economics, political science, arts, and history.

- Political democracy not only means a pluralism, but also that positions of power be democratized. An example of this, before the dark times of eDictatorships, was when revolutionary leader MikeBane initiated the Great Democratic Experiment - there was one Executive Committee Leader who was elected to push the buttons and act as an emergency strategist. There were 4 other Committee Members and each decision was decided democratically. To carry this further we should include the top 5 party leaders within this Committee or a representative chosen by each party.

- International solidarity meaning we support our comrades abroad and especially struggles for national liberation.

Banism is a new force in politics, one that will reshape the eIrish political arena. You can become a Banist too! Click on the link to join The Banist Party! Join the REVOLUTION!

Sincerely,
Comrade Cat
