The duty to loan regions to countries in need

There simply is no such duty. That's why 1 holds a proper referendum and debate it beforehand.

Or ratify it afterwards. But given the history of Ireland it feels that giving away regions goes against it full tilt. Ireland is respected and had to fight hard to become a sovereign state.

My feeling therefore is that giving away regions would go against our psyche. Our friend Fyrom had or is still having the same battle. A reasonable Macedonian surely could respect this sentiment.

Why is alternatives not considered

Indeed as alliance we surely have excess conquered regions.

Why should a small country give up its sovereignity when Chile has 15 regions extra?
