[WRP] - Congressional approach

Day 2,467, 11:38 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Huey George

Why support the Workers' Rights Party in the upcoming Congressional Elections

Once again the Workers' Rights Party bring Congress(Parliament) a firm base of approachable and active members never afraid to stand up for what is right for the citizen and the eUK. Members of Congress who stand for fairness, equality and integrity.

A vote for the Workers' Rights Party will be a vote for an increasingly united, fair, respected and vital Congress(Parliament). A strong voice for the people of the eUK.

Why cast your vote for the WRP to ensure I'm a member of Congress(Parliament)?

I'll split this down into two sections, What I'll do and my experience

What I'll do

My likely actions based on what Members of Congress can propose/vote on; (of course I can't see the future so this are just my principles and all my actual decision would be informed based on the situation at the time)

Change taxes - Based on the 'main' forms of taxation. This needs to be set as low as possible (1.00%) until this situation with the unusual and extremely high average wages over the past 30 days resulting in unreasonably high work tax is resolved. However with wages around 30.00cc to 40.00cc I agree with 2.00% Work Tax across the board so would vote in favour any proposed changes if the average wage returns to these levels.

I generally agree with all current import taxation however would be open to discussion. I also generally feel VAT levels are correct however once again I'd be open to discussion. Other taxation changes would be assessed on a case by case basis as unlikely to be raised.

Change the minimum wage - I agree with the current minimum wage so would most likely vote against any change.

Country Donations and Issue Money - I would make an informed decision on a case by case basis.

President Impeachment - I'm unlikely to support an impeachment as the CP has been elected by public majority. It'd have to be absolute negligence which endangered the UK's future and security for me to vote in favour of 'removing' the CP from office.

Natural enemy - This can only be decided on a case by case basis and after all the facts have been reviewed and the pros and cons weighed up.

My likely actions based on what the Country President can propose for Congress to vote on; (of course again I can't see the future so this are just my principles and all my actual decision would be informed based on the situation at the time)

- Mutual Protection Pacts At the moment these are the likely MPP I'll be required to vote on.
USAExpires in 9 days
CroatiaExpires in 12 days
Republic of Macedonia (FYROM)Expires in 13 days
IndonesiaExpires in 22 days
UkraineExpires in 22 days
TurkeyExpires in 23 days
LatviaExpires in 24 days
BulgariaExpires in 28 days
PolandExpires in 29 days
GermanyExpires in 29 days.

I feel comfortable with the exsisting set our allies the UK holds so would be most likely to vote in favour of re-signing all MPPs. I'd also be open to additional allies. However my decision as always would be an informed one. I'd welcome your views on any of the MPP we hold as a country.

Airstrike - Similar to Natural Enemy, this can only be decided on a case by case basis and after all the facts have been reviewed and the pros and cons weighed up. With the decision that much more important as it would have to be made to justify the high initial cost to the country.

Message to New Citizens - I'm for this being kept as much as possible up to date and relevant however again my decision would be based on what the proposed message was.

- The 'others' I won't cover as they are unlikely to come up if they still exist for some...

Finally I'd look to actively take part in any establish Congressional PMs with the CP and his cabinet, review information posted on the UK forums and attend Congressional IRC meetings when possible. In order to support Congress to be as active as the CP and their team and a 'productive' counter-balance to the CP to ensure the public will is always represented.

I'm a firm believe our members of Congress should earn these as much as the CP earns theirs .

My experience

I'm a eight-time Congress(Parliament) Member.
My track record is documented in my "A view from Parliament" Series, which is open, transparent and lets my constituents know exactly how I've voted during my time in Congress(Parliament).

I’m a dedicated active and well-informed citizen.

I believe and trust the people, I seek out a wide range of opinions on any proposed votes on laws which decide the policy of the eUK. This is so my voting principles are always informed by the will of my electorate.

I will remain very communicative via the media module, something I feel is important to increasing the population of the eUK. An active media creates a well informed, content public, which works together with government strategies domestic or foreign.
