[Wild Owl for CP] Some General Thoughts

Day 3,270, 10:02 Published in USA Poland by Wild Owl

Hello America,

I'll be using this article to share some thoughts of mine regarding some domestic matters of eUSA. Regarding the USAF and the USAAC, I strongly believe that the USAAC, led by Mourning Star and supported by Tyler Bubblar, needs to be given the time to succeed on its own merits. While I was conflicted about starting a new MU for the airforce, I do realize that it can be useful for us, especially if they get some coordinated hits and operations going to help USA and our allies. While every single PotUS candidate has written up a large amount of proposals for the USAF, the vast majority of them continue to fail and not get implemented as the USAF leadership shows little interest in following up with them. Frankly, I understand this, and I am proud to be the guy who led the charge to defund the USAF in Congress, a move that saves us hundreds of thousands of dollars every month.

Regarding internal affairs, I intend to use the Department of Citizen Affairs to both educate our newer citizens and continue its current programs. WhydoIbothertoo has full liberty to increase the number of programs, or participants in them, as he sees fit, and I am confident in his ability of doing a good job. I will personally be working with him to make sure that the DoCA has an article out at all times in the 'First Steps' section of the media, so that newer people can learn about game mechanics, as well as participate in the variety of activities that the department conducts.

I also believe that limiting government positions cuts down on the number of people willing to step up. My first exposure to the cabinet was as Secretary of Education for Tenshibo. While that was admittedly a horrible month for eUSA, I learnt a lot. I do support increasing the number of people in DoCA and the DoD, I also believe that newer citizens need to see how FA and NSC work is done, and I would like to see them do it themselves, once the current crop of players including myself and NAz steps aside. It doesn't take serious skill to hand out supplies to anyone, just activity, but I would like to see newer players develop the confidence and the ability to make their own decisions for our country in the future.

That's about all for now. Thank you for the support so far. Keep it coming, and I shall not let you down.

Sincerely,
Wild Owl
