[WHPR]Victory Requires Sacrifice

Day 1,482, 19:46 Published in USA USA by James S. Brady Press Room

A brief history of the genesis of the eUS Civilian Military Group:

"Back in the day", Civilians would daily (and then multiple times daily) check the Department of Defense Citizen Orders Newspaper to keep up-to-date on where the President and DoD wanted damage directed for the thousands of Citizens who fought daily.

This Newspaper remains #1 in subscriptions, and President Oblige is committed to keeping this paper up-to-date.

Then a new era of communication was born when the National Broadcasting System was designed by Qnfauf and released to the public. This user-script add-on for Firefox and Chrome creates a "sticky" information box on each user's home page. Key links such as Meals on Wheels, the eUS Forum, and Military supply documents were single-click-convenient. Hot newspaper articles would also be linked. But most importantly, current Civilian Orders were clickable right from the home page.

This was all before the Military Unit Daily Orders dialogue was added by Admin. Even so, President Oblige is also committed to the National Broadcasting System for all the flexibility and variety it provides. Install this script today.

But when Admin gave Military Units the top box on everyone's home page, these older technologies could not compete with the allure of a daily Bazooka and Energy bar. Everyone flocked to the existing Military Units. Some smaller Militias swelled by 4x their membership, straining resources, creating organizational havoc, and most importantly decentralizing Daily Orders.

Finally under President GoalieBCSC the eUS Civilian Military Group was established. This MU would be Commanded (meaning the daily orders would be set by) the President himself. All Citizens not interested in a Military career in a Militia or the USAF were encouraged to join this catch-basin MU. There are no commune requirements, no forms to file daily, but of course no promise of supplies to help these masses in their defense of eUSA. However, Daily Orders are now entirely under appropriate control using the best possible game mechanic.

But now it is time to talk about you, the readers of WHPR.

Perhaps you get your supplies from ST6, Easy Company, or one of the fine branches of the USAF. Perhaps you fight for eUSA under the banner of one or another branch of the eUS Military. Maybe you are just privately wealthy.

Whoever you are, you know what it costs to fight in today's eRepublik.

Therefore the eUS Civilian Military Group is asking you to donate whatever you might spare. Send your donations directly to jerseygirldani.

The goal is to assist those active fighters who can get close to completing their orders but need a little extra boost. The payoff is fantastic, and it creates a domino effect. A bazooka and energy bar today makes it 20% easier to complete the daily order tomorrow. Add to that the added 30K influence from those bazookas, multiply it by even just half of the 350 members, and you can see that a little bit of benevolence can go a long way. Imagine what an extra 175 bazookas being fired off against our enemies would do? How about 5.25 Million extra influence!

As the massive recent victory in Aquitaine taught us, victory sometimes requires great sacrifice. In this case, the victory is the two-fold bonus of added battlefield damage and increased new-player retention.

Give to the eUS Civilian Military Group every day.
