Congress and Condemnation

We The People,

I’d like to start off by saying, on behalf of our 8 Congressmembers, that we would like to thank everyone who participated in the primaries as candidates or as electors. Honestly, this month was harder for everyone in the process cause the website went down. In spite of that we made a back-up system and got a decent turnout (21). I’m personally expecting turnout to go back to our normal levels (low 30s) once the party, as a whole, endorses a post-website operating system. Relevant discussion, by the way.

And of course, we would like to thank everyone who voted for WeThePeople this cycle! Turnout from last month went down by at least 10%, and that’s plenty to be down about. We haven’t had a lot of reasons to be cheery lately, if I’m honest with you. The website went down, our Party President went inactive and then completely rogue, this led to us dropping from #2 in the nation to #4, apparently one of our Congressmen left the delegation…etc. It’s been a rough time. No flowery way to put it.

Despite that, we elected nine of our candidates and garnered 1/6th of the national vote. In order of election, I would like to congratulate:

Our peculiar circumstance means the 102nd WTP delegation will have to be one of the most active ones in our party’s history. We need to spread the WTP values of inclusion, fairness and communication. We need to advocate for populism. We must continue the fight against complacency in WTP, Congress, the Executive board and wherever else it may lie. Our community needs these values. I think I speak for everyone when I say the 9(8?) of us take these responsibilities seriously (Hence the article 3 days into the term.

In short: WTP hasn’t given you much reason for high expectations in the past. That ends with us.

Now some business:

Condemnation of the Federalist Party President and the 102nd Federalist Congress delegation.

We all remember Sunshine, right? The PP who went inactive, then rogue - changing the party's name and logo to suit himself before finally leaving. Safe to say he damaged our community. Having the Party Presidet abuse the trust given in them to mess around with whatever does not build communities. In fact, WTP owes much of its current sufferings to him.

GOOD NEWS: He found a place for himself on this month’s Federalist Congress slate.

WTP Congressmen Hale26, Comet Academy, Thalio Voss, Cubby and The Mike have signed off on the following statement, in response to the actions of the Federalist Party President:

"As Congresspersons, we condemn the actions of the Federalist Party President Tenshibo and the 102nd Federalist Congress delegation. At best, running Sunshine was a gross oversight. At worst, this is a clear slight towards our party and the damage he has inflicted on it. Regardless of the tension that will inevitably exist between our delegations this term, we look forward to working for the eAmerican people and hopefully resolving these tensions in another sitting. As long as Sunshine is a Federalist Congressman in goodstanding however, these tensions will remain - we cannot promote the community-killing actions he has endorsed, which the Federalist Congress delegation and the Federalist Party President are associating themselves with by their running of Sunshine."

Senryaku leaving the delegation
To be honest, I’m still not sure what happened there. I’ve reached out to Senry but it would appear he jumped ship to SFP right after he was elected under the WTP banner.

I don’t presume SFP to have any part in this. I strongly doubt Senry was a plant. That being said, a member leaving right after the party put faith in them is troubling. I’m reaching out to him to find out his reasons and if this was a permanent move, or…?

TL😉R- I’m just as confused as you are about this. I’ll provide updates when I have them.

Speaker of the House Nominations

The WTP Delegation has yet to discuss any of the candidates running. We have been made aware that AlexJ (FED) and Greeling (AMP) are running for the position. While WTP does not have party line votes on anything that is not approved by in-party referendum, we still do have discussions on which candidates to support based on their personal judgement, their ability to win, and if they intend to include WTP viewpoints.

Mike Ontry
As we take time to figure out how to conduct party business appropriately absent the website, I would like to take a second to keep Mike Ontry in our thoughts. While I'm sure he's fine, Mike is probably the most dedicated player I've seen in this game. He's done so much for this party. So, while we hope that everything is alright, I'd ask that you keep him in your thoughts and send a prayer or two his way. Just in case.

It’s been a busy 3 days, WTP.

I’m ommiting the talks about taxes and blacklists for the time being, for brevity’s sake. To provide a TL😉R- Taxes are going down, blacklists are being lifted.

Feel free to PM myself or any members of the delegation about our voting records or if you would like to get involved in Congress. Also, all WTP members who INSURGIO~ this or sign off on the above statement get two tanks.

We’ll be in touch. Thank you,

Hale26
