Join the new world

Greetings, We The People.

Today, I’d like to talk to you about two things in particular. Senatus Populusque Romanus and the Daily Message.

The first is a particularly volatile issue, it seems. Many people support it and many people do not. I would like to reiterate my stance:

While I openly support SPQR, I will under no circumstances undermine the party or coerce its members to support SPQR. I understand it is not for everyone and do not intend to press the issue.

Hand in hand with SPQR comes the Unity Process. People are becoming more and more disgruntled with the Unity Process. I would like to remind them that we have weathered the brunt of this storm, but that does not mean we can break out solidarity now. That is what SPQR is about, and that is what Unity is about, is Solidarity.



I would also like to establish a weekly message sent to every member of the party. This message will solicit those in need of help, offer them a way to get onto the forums and IRC, and promote their knowledge and activity of the game. Additionally messages would contain updates pertaining to the party.

Lastly, I intend to restructure the party. Part of being a party for the people is giving the people as little bureaucracy to wade through as possible. As of now, the current leadership structure includes the following:

Member Relations Director
Treasurer

I would like to see Communications rebranded as Member Relations, and the new department will function as a sub-hierarchy of the Member Relations Director, who oversees Recruiting, Communications, and Mentoring.
