'War Surplus' Packs - What are they? Are they worth buying?

The admins have introduced War Surplus packs. These are only available to get on day 2,687 but even if you have missed them this time you might be interested in knowing about them for the next time they come round.
This is not something that is bought with real life money. They are bought with Gold. The amount of Gold on the left indicates how much it will cost and all the items to the right are what you get for your Gold.
These are all purchasable from the 'special items' section under 'Gold and extras'. Are these worth it? Well as you might be used to hearing from me, it depends. If you love the fighting side of the game and want to build up a stockpile to defend your nation against future attack and are not so fussed about the cost this is good for you. It is also handy to have a few bombs when trying to earn Battle Hero/Campaign Hero medals. However if you have not upgraded the training grounds you use to the maximum do that first as the long term benefits of that are greater to both you and your country.
Big bombs are always 5,000,000 damage. Where as Small bombs vary in damage depending what division you are in. Small bombs deal:
Bazookas are largely useless unless you are new, but have some value if you have bazooka boosters. The real value of bazookas is they are a 1 hit kill so are useful for completing missions and FF and Merc medals. Save them for this.
The 5 Gold, War Surplus
Is worth 225,000 damage if in Division 1.
Is worth 1,125,000 damage if in Division 2.
Is worth 2,225,000 damage if in Division 3.
Is worth 4,500,000 damage if in Division 4.
The 25 Gold, War Surplus
Is worth 10,750,000 damage if in Division 1.
Is worth 13,750,000 damage if in Division 2.
Is worth 17,500,000 damage if in Division 3.
Is worth 25,000,000 damage if in Division 4.
All of these figures are made by adding the value Small bombs and Big bombs. If you want to work out the figures for the higher value packs, times the Small bombs it gives you with the damage each one does in your division then add 5,000,000 per Big bomb it provides you.
Be under no illusions, buying these is more expensive that just fighting with weapons. The only advantage of buying these is you can deal more damage. This is not a cheap option.

If a division 4 player buys each pack twice (totalling 860 gold) they can deal over 2 billion damage from the bombs...

Plus, if u are to buy that war surplus (250 gold) pack, u would have to win about 63 BHs in d3 at about 9 million each ( from the bombs ofc ) to not have a loss. And u would also have that (+20 recovery for 5 days) so a little profit. But with people stealing BHs at 20 million, its a fat chance that one would recover their money, unless x10 BHs are introduced or there are more missions with damage thingies. 😛
calculation for 250 gold pack in d3
75 big bombs - 375kk
250 small bombs - 187,5kk
total - 562,5kk
62,5 bh medals are needed to get back 250 gold.
it adds up to 9kk per bh medal
in my opinion its not worth it

yes for me. the 100% dmg boosters give a lot to me though it cost me 250g, along with the CH bombs, BH bombs.
I will use this chance to get CH medal though it's not worth, I mean why you pays 250g to get a CH medal which only give 5g? for collection. of course.
but, It's not like I will use all CH bombs for a CH, I will use some for BHs.
but still, I recommend you to buy war packs, because BigAnt or PTOers will start a coup in UK sooner later. but only if you have gold for it, if you don't have gold, don't force yourself to buy one.

I bought both of the 5 gold ones and I'm keeping the rest of my gold cause I believe this is just a way to make people buy gold and give Plato his run for money. The damage I can deal is fair enough for the amount of supplies I have
