[UKRP] Party President Announcement 2

Hey everyone,

This last week has been extremely eventful for the UKRP, with all our members working very hard to help the party advance. I'm going to quickly touch on what has happened with the recent Congress elections, the recruitment drive the UKRP has been doing and the event's we've had recently.

Congress

I would like to thank TUP for the opportunity to run some of our candidates under their banner. This deal allowed us to run 3 of our newest and best candidates for Congress; 5butjam, Bogdan Vladucia and Madacaion (in 4th, 8th and 12th places respectively) and as such as had 2 UKRP Congressmen elected this term. Congratulations to them both!

Recruitment

This last week has been amazing in terms of recruitment for UKRP. Our members worked extremely hard to get enough members for us to be within th Top 5, however we did not know that due to changes in the game mechanics, we were hours late for the deadline. However this effort has not stopped and we are doing our very best to ensure that we keep recruiting as hard as we did then.

UKRP Events

Our community manager, EcoFreak, arranged a wonderful Christmas quiz in #UKRP on Christmas Eve - an event that had people from both UKRP and other parties taking part. EcoFreak arranged to give out items as prizes, with our members contributing to the prize pot. I would like to thank everyone who took part in this event, it was fun and I liked beating you all 😃! Congratulations to the winners:

CP Elections

It is now time for CP elections, with UKRP already discussion options for our primary poll. We are waiting to see who from our own party wishes to run, but would also like to remind all other parties that to be put onto our primary ballot, you must inform myself by the 30th of December at 7pm (GMT) - probably by in-game message as I won't be on IRC most of that day! Please ensure you also give a short one paragraph statement from the candidate about why they are running.
