lol une bonne idée
RIP.
Horrible and senseless.
Some people just don't want to live in the now but think that society would be better off in the Middle Ages.
yes, wr have to remain fearless against this, just stand together.
I don't know what these extremists were trying to accomplish. Everytime they commit an "act of terror" on a free nation it only creates more nationalism. RIP for those who paid the ultimate sacrifice. Je suis Charlie
that's true
And that is exactly what those extremists want, more nationalism which will create more extremists for them in return. It's just spreading hate for their own gain. Sad but true.
Nothing can justify the murder, especially of this kind, but those people who wrote that magazine aren't the real heroes neither, they provocated other people by insulting their traidition, values, religion and most of the things those people live for.
Terrorism is worst thing, but what cause terrorism are the people like Charlie, so no, I'm not Charlie, I'm not pissing other people just because I'm sexually inactive old guy.
Also, guess who profits the most with this terrorist attack? Israel.
thank for your comment.
i agree to disagree with you, that's the symbol of all this
No that was just a plain stupid medieval opinion but hey free speech.
That's the point. You're not allowed freedom to express yourself in a lot of the Islamic states. To effectively blame the victims for terrorist attacks is beyond belief.
Israel does profit, but insulting religion is the duty of the secularist 😛
It's a duty of someone who doesn't respect other people.
Respect is earned, not implied. You do not have some civil or religious right to my respect.
Why should I respect Islam?
Islamic countries seem perfectly content to whip or stone to death my humanist-atheist brothers and sisters. Just like Christianity burned them alive and imprisoned them. We can talk about terrorism until the cows come home, but ultimately, the ideology itself is evil without terrorism.
Tyranny is never to be respected.
In November 1970, the former French president Charles de Gaulle died in his home village of Colombey-les-Deux-Églises, eight days after a disaster in a nightclub, the Club Cinq-Sept fire, which caused the death of 146 people. The magazine released a cover spoofing the popular press's coverage of this disaster, headlined "Tragic Ball at Colombey, one dead."[6] As a result, the weekly was banned.
In 2000, journalist Mona Chollet was sacked after she had protested against a Philippe Val article which called Palestinians "non-civilized"
Controversy arose over the publication's edition of 9 February 2006. Under the title "Mahomet débordé par les intégristes" ("Muhammad overwhelmed by fundamentalists"), the front page showed a cartoon of a weeping Muhammad saying "C'est dur d'être aimé par des cons" ("it's hard being loved by jerks").
but Francis Szpiner, the lawyer for the Grand Mosque, explained the suit: "Two of those caricatures make a link between Muslims and Muslim terrorists. That has a name and it's called racism."
A later edition contained a statement by a group of twelve writers warning against Islamism.
To Arabic-speaking people, sharia (/ʃɑːˈriːɑː/;[1] also shariah, shari'a, sharīʿah; Arabic: شريعة šarīʿah, IPA: [ʃaˈriːʕa], "legislation") means the moral code and religious law of a prophetic religion.[2][3][4] The term "sharia" has been largely identified with Islam in English usage.[5]
The paper's controversial 3 November 2011 issue, renamed "Charia Hebdo" (a reference to Sharia law) and "guest-edited" by Muhammad, depicted Muhammad saying: "100 lashes of the whip if you don't die laughing."
In the early hours of 2 November 2011, the newspaper's office in the 20th arrondissement was fire-bombed and its website hacked.
In September 2012, the newspaper published a series of satirical cartoons of Muhammad, some of which featured nude caricatures of him.
Therefore keep on pushing a stick in a hornets nest and cry afterwards when you get stung.
That's not the point. The point is that people need to calm the f*ck down and stop killing people because of some joke. Let's go back to one of the oldest law codifications known to men, Hammurabi. What would his punishment be for drawing an insulting cartoon? Write one back! That's right, it's as easy as that.
lets take an experiment go to a bar and tell everyone there his mother is a w*. i doubt you will see the end of the night.
next go to a prison for the criminally insane and do the same. 2 or 3 of them alone and your gone
extremist the word says everything, ppl beheaded, bombs, planes flown into building, all the shoppers shot in kenya at a mall.
one does not expect logical behavior from these ppl. and on the other hand normal muslims also do not want you doing this so just dont. I didnt think your readers would even notice the difference because if a cartoon is not placed only you know its not placed.
salman rushdie is still in hiding now there is a clever fella ( charlie bunch naw not as much
So just because someone isinsane and/or intolerant we should censor ourselves? Murdering someone over mere words is a cowardly act in itself.
well jshipman do you each day climb the highest mountain or run across the street without looking both ways. yes Muslims say do not use Md and Christians say dont use god's name in vain. Muslims, terrorist are each day discussed in news etc . Dont use md tiny request dont see the problem.
I dont see it as censorship to do this more good manners and respect for each other. Also its our decision to subject ourselves to as much risk or little risk as possible. after the bombing they knew the risk. in fact they should have foreseen the attacks.
They did know the risk but they knew that freedom of every kind is worth the risk. It sounds sappy but it's really true that strong ideas are worth protecting with your life. And it is true censorship when you have to fear for your life because of a picture and a few words no matter how offensive.
Insulting someone's mother for no reason is very much different from making a satiric statement through a cartoon. The purpose of randomly insulting people is to get into a physical encounter, while the purpose of making a satirical statement is to make people aware of a certain subject.
you don't understand.
of course i do everyone is trying to say they won because they got attention. death is final. muslim extremist is not worried about good or bad press. they work in small terror groups as they was learned by CIA. If you killed 2 bees in a hive did you win or only made them more angry. like bees they are willing to sacrifice their life's for their cause.
naw ch pretty much lost. dont see the victory. you captured 2 like aliens pot in the next room entire hive is breeding.
yo may now kill me : (
Je suis Charlie aussi
Même pas peur o/
FTW §§§§§
Support from Macedonia o/
but yeah ppl die'ing is always sad. so my sympathies to u COB just think it was highly preventable.
thank you , but the symbol is greater than the number of people killed. i am sure that a black person of south africa agrees for the freedom in all his expression.
we are not agree often, but as long as you didn't cross the line, you were free to say it. that's the matter.
