[PotUS]Day 2724 Thank you America

Day 2,724, 20:54 Published in USA USA by Trekker Tlumac

Greetings my fellow Americans and esteemed friends,

Tonight it is my honor to come to you, once again, as the President of the United States. And its ever so sexy Dictator.

Yesterday (2723) the American public showed the faith they have in me by re-electing me to the job of PotUS. I want to thank everyone who took the time to vote yesterday, even those who did not vote for me. It is because of you that this country keeps moving forward. And I am humbled to find myself in the position to lead you for another month.

I would like to congratulate WookyJack on a race well run. His media spamming of all channels and his ability to impassion people brought him popularity that garnered him just under 32% of the vote. I applaud his vigor. Good race Wooky, good race.

As some of you on my friends list have undoubtedly noticed, this morning I got my True Dictator Medal. It marks my 30th consecutive day as your dictator. This has been a great honor. And I am proud to serve, as ironic as that is of a dictator to say. As of today, I am the first True Dictator of the United States. WildOwl left office a few days short of getting the medal.

This medal has come with a reward of 50 gold.

I will be donating this gold to the United States of America, particular to the parts of government that run on donations only.

Over the next 31 days I hope to lead the country as I have in the last 30. I am wiser and less green than I was back when I started. There is a difference to me now that all of you have helped created. So the question begs upon us: Where do we go from here?

We continue the path to greatness, the one we have always been on. It may be slow at times and others it may gallop faster than a speeding lama, but daily our struggle is forward. And yes, that was absurdly obscure, thank you for noticing. Just keep reading.

With the completion of the war against Indonesia, we now have 64 regions. The war was a complete success. We have conquered our foe without a single dime of taxpayer money and the American public have collected countless True Patriot medals from the campaign. The battle was fierce and we decidedly won. Several campaigns even collected an Epic battle round or two. This has been a great victory for the USA. This war has followed successful battles in North Korea and Cuba.

In our future we may well see more battles. I know I would like them. But, as always, I only intend to bring us into wars that are right for us. We are a country that wants for little. So we may general pick and choose our engagements.

There has been some question as to my staffing choices of the coming month. I am a firm believer in the “If it is not broke, do not fix it” mindset. Most of my staff will stay, with the addition of some more active deputies. So my staff list from last month is still reasonably accurate. Mid-cycle changes that you may or may not have heard of were Dinnyin’s promotion to Commander of USAF (I retain in-game command due to the dictatorship mechanics) and Smee (my former Media Czar) replaced Dave Gulya a few days into the last term. That said, this term Smee will be busy with real life and I have asked Tom Cauchon to replace him at the helm of Media Secretary. Tom is a promising writer and I look forward to seeing him take on this challenge and inevitably rise to it.

I have an apology to make. In my haste to put out campaign media in the few moments of freedom I have had from RL this week, I have neglected to acknowledge the one person who has helped me more than all others. My Secretary of State, ViKy KC needs to have the credit given that is owed to her.

ViKy is a great Secretary of State, and an even better friend. It is for that latter that I feel I need to apologize publicly and give her credit for the FA business of the last month. She is a rock. I screwed up on that. I will not do so again.

I suppose that is all for tonight. Thank you for reading. I hope this day has found you well.

The Dictator of your Heart (and country)
