Hi everyone.

Time for my 20h interview. This week's victim is Rory Winterbourne II.

1. Tell us a few words about your real life self.

- Jack of all trades, master of none. Currently trying to get better at CS GO and 3D graphics

2. About eRepublik Rory Winterbourne II. Why did you start playing with a new account?

- Currently building up my D1 account, on my way to Titan* and trying to rekindle Funky Militia into a fun place to fight in again.

About 2 years ago I quit again (probably for the 3rd time), after a few months of not playing I decided to give it another go. My original account was eborn in 2009 and as I only concentrated on business it was frankly terrible, 26k coming up on D4, so I started a new one. This time I decided just to fight.

3. How do you see your future in eRepublik? What keeps you in the game and what are your ambitions?

- Who knows.

4. eUK's future? Any suggestions to the current and future governments?

- Government should man up, the fun is fighting with allies not negotiating TW’s or buying back regions from countries that invade us. Dictatorship under Woldy also gave us the opportunity to create whatever government we wanted and any means of picking who runs things, I’d like to see eUK come up with more creative way of doing things other than simply following the boring in-game congress elections.

5. eRepublik's future? What would you change?

- Admins need to fix so much stuff in this game, it’s hard to actually suggest changes. If I were them I would perhaps do something radical, like take out strength and have damage calculated just on rank. The gap between players is too big now to make the game interesting for new players. They really need to engage the community about any major changes though otherwise they will kill the game.

6. Who is your favourite person in eRepublik and why?

- There are loads of people I met on here that are cool, It’d be hard to pick a single person. Dan, Toni, benni, Nohjis, Croc, Mitte, Emergy, Woldy and JRM would be up there.

7. Any person you dislike and why?

- I’ve always disliked people that think it’s fine to buy political favour, you know who you are. They are usually the people who make the game more interesting though.

8. A few words about your military history.

- When I joined the game the eUK had the Royal Navy, which was really cool and had 100’s of players involved. After joining I was placed in HMS Funky and spent a year or more there. Some time later when MU’s entered the game I created HMS Funky, then Funky Militia, which enjoyed being the eUK’s hardest hitting MU for about 6 months.

9. A few words about your political history.

- The bigger partys never really held any interest for me and the first party I joined was INGSOC, probably about 8th in UK at the time. The PP was amusing, he had created a party forum and in true Big Brother style used to delete/modify people’s posts. After a couple of months I became PP and began recruiting, when we had about 50 members we started becoming noticed by the top 5, in particular the SDP - lead by a crazy fellow called melophore, who tried to recruit INGSOC members. I hatched a dastardly plan to PTO them with the help of PCP, which to everyone's surprise actually worked. It was an interesting month, trying secretly to insert PCP congressmen into the SDP.

After that I joined PCP for a bit before moving to South Korea. My time in eSK was probably my most fun time in the game, it was then under PTO by the FSR a Romanian MU lead by Clopoyaur (the guy that currently does the twitch streams). We created various things, SKRev - the South Korean Revolutionary Army, national forums, translation services and interesting media to troll the FSR with. After the eSK baby boom the Romanians left and I returned to the UK after a brief stay in the Philippines and South Africa.

Around this time I spent months working in the Ministry of Trade, working with others creating a giant spreadsheet, trying to come up with a way to turn the eUK economy into a communist utopia. It worked on paper, but only about 3 people actually saw it xD I was a Minister a few times I think, mostly to do with finance and stuff like that. Oh and vCP once but I actually did nothing that month.

The only other interesting political position I held was underminister of Finance, working with BoatsAndHoes, who went nuts, quit and accused all the governments from the previous 6 months of stealing over a million cc in his last article. Turns out Butjam was just terrible at bookkeeping xD

You aren't a member of any party, why is that?

There doesn’t seem to be much point at the moment, eUK governments have pretty much the same people in them month-after-month. No party really offers any kind of opposition or collectively different way of doing things.

10. Do you lift?

- Nah

11. Your message to the community.

- Live long and prosper o/
