Congratulations to Alfag on finally coup’ing the eUK. As we’re back under the Dictatorship mechanics I guess an update is required vis-à-vis what dis prolly means for those left in Mongress this term.

MPs new to this may be surprised to find they still get law notifications but cannot vote or provide citizenship. With the exceptions of a Presidential Impeachment & New Players Message, only the Dictator can propose and vote on our Country’s administration. That said, ~~due to presumably a bug~~, Alfa is the only vote on the current Impeachment (yes).

Iain has confirmed he will not run a ‘gov-in-exile’. The new threads with Alfag should pop up later today when I have an idea of his gov to bide us over for tomorrow’s election and confirmation.

Prospective MPs should still consider running as materially I doubt there will be a major headache in operations for us (we should welcome the legitimate opportunity to do nothing). You will however not get your 5g, though am sure Alfag would be happy to expropriate you further on request

Actually, I cannot propose an impeachment (or new message change) . However if a vote is underway then I am able to vote on it and my vote becomes the overriding vote.

Had it been an MPP vote instead that was 23-3 for example then I could vote against and it would become 0-1.

it's in the dictator FAQ on the wiki;
Q: What happens with the law voting if it still lasts after the end of successful coup?
A: If the dictator votes, his vote determines the outcome. If he doesn't vote, the outcome is determined by the votes cast before the coup.

Yeah it's a bit of an odd one they still haven't bothered to patch; otherwise the wiki would be a bit more obvious about this exception

It's not a bug as the same thing happened 3 years ago with MEK and Freegigi - we were puzzled about it then but this time it was expected.

I know that people won't believe me, but I had no idea that that will happen 😂 Thought the coup won't succeed and the impeachment vote would have been voted down as every time I've proposed it in the past.

I don't mind what happened actually at the end, just saying, was thinking it will be a totally different outcome.
