[MoHA] 5 Nominations for the CMP

Day 4,002, 04:36 Published in Netherlands Netherlands by Ministerie van Media en Recrui
Dear citizens of the eNetherlands,

It's almost time to reward the big prize for the Community Media Project for October 2018. This is the first month the Ministry of Home Affairs took over the initiative of Shawtyl0w and created the Community Media Project. The goal was to activate the eDutch media and give an incentive to write and publish. Every article written in this presidential term has received 1000 cc. The 5 best articles are chosen and will be presented in this article. The best article out of these 5 will be rewarded by the big prize! The big prize for this month consists of 12500 cc, 500 q5 food and 50 q7 weapons! There is no government money spend on the big prize, it's all donations! So thank you all for donating!

Before announcing the five candidates for the big prize, I would like to look back at the media this month. We have seen yet another month of much writing. In september we had 19 articles published by individual people (government articles excluded). That was already a great number compared with the summer months. Now I'm proud to say there have been 28 articles published in the eNetherlands for the October month! (government & congress articles excluded). This is a big increase in the media activity and the Ministry of Home Affairs likes to continue the Media project for the coming months to keep the incentive.

Now back to the candidates. Out of the 28 articles, there are 18 eligible for the big prize. We excluded articles like CP, PP or CM announcements or party advertisments. This is of course an arbitrary line, so each article has been looked at individually. Out of the 18, we've chosen 5 articles from 5 different authors who are in the running for the big prize:

De Opreghte Haegse Courant: Something Rotten in The Hague Part I
by Dirk.Donker
https://www.erepublik.com/en/article/2681398/1/20

Dirk.Donker, relatively new to the game, surprised us with his interactive writing initiative. He wrote a series of articles containing an interactive story, written by him together with the comment section. The jury was very enthousiastic about this article series and would like to see some more! He deserves to be one of the five.

BreakThrough: Long Live the King!
by NoTie112
https://www.erepublik.com/en/article/2681595/1/20

However a sad informative article, it's much more than that. The article has activated the community and inspired lots of other writers to publish their articles about the same topic. An activating article is what we like for the Community Media Project, so we would like to thank Tonie for his contribution!

Monkey-Business: And now... the real statistics!
by ElGorro
https://www.erepublik.com/en/article/2682306/1/20

The big ape returned, had a new brother, switched, returned again, and he wrote articles again. ElGorro activated the community with his statistical article. On his own initiative he published the statistics of congress activity, helping inspiring the new CoC experiment and bringing the forum game closer to the real one. This is something we support at the Ministry of Home Affairs, so we really appreciated the article, even if it's a bit colored.

Shawty's Perspective: Hey Plato We Want In-Game Forum!
by Shawtyl0w
https://www.erepublik.com/en/article/2682757/1/20

Shawty outdid himself. Sometimes the Minister thought Shawty set up the initiative to generate money for himself if you look at how many articles Shawty published this month. Most of them were however very informative and inspiring, and this article especially. The article proposes a new addition to the game by having the national forums ingame instead of out of it, or using PMs to debate. We like and support the idea, and reward the article with a top 5 nomination.

The eRepublik News: Scenario 1: Damage Assesment phase
by MaartenW
https://www.erepublik.com/en/article/2682808/1/20

This article is an activating game, played by the community. We like to see more of these game articles. Thanks to MaartenW for his contribution!

The jury, consisting of every government member except those who are in the top 5, will now decide on who will win the big prize. The winner of the first Community Media Project Prize, October 2018, will be announced tomorrow.

Thanks for writing and publishing this month, Keep writing!
