Interview:

Our guest is: Monsieur Guillotine

Q1/ Tell us more about you - who are you ingame? What did you do throughout your eLife? Also, how did you learn about eRepublik and why did you start playing it?
A1/ - I am Monsieur Guillontine, a somewhat internationally known politician, who has always served the people. I learned about eRepublik from Facebook, and I started playing about a year and a half ago.

Q2/ By the time you registered, what was the situation in eSwitzerland? (Political/Military/Social). How would you describe eSwitzerland now? What is the difference between now and then? Is there a positive change?(If yes, what is it?/ If no, why?)
A2/ Originally, I was actually born in Belgium. A month after my term as President in Belgium, I decided to travel elsewhere, and ever since then, I have been a faithful member of the Swiss community. When I came to Switzerland, Slovenia at the time was occupying the Swiss people, and there seemed to be almost no hope of independence. However, things quickly changed, and clearly, Switzerland made a major comeback. Switzerland now is relatively peaceful, and we are taking huge strides toward making the Circle of Trust a stronger alliance, along with Switzerland's militaristic capabilities. In addition, the government is continuing to reaching out to the younger Swiss players, as we are trying to involve them in the community.

Q3/ What was your best moment in eSwitzerland so far? And your worst? Why?
A3/ My best moment, I'd say, was probably when I first came here. It was great when I was able to help out. Of course I remember those many sleepless nights when I was asked to supply weapons (even though I wasn't even a part of the government yet!) My worst moment though, probably would have to be when I was called a PTOer when I was President of Switzerland, when my own Vice-Minister of Defence, Hot Fever became quite jealous and decided to spread false news to the Germans. It was quite frustrating being attacked through the press for absolutely nothing.

Q4/ Why did your country choose CoT as alliance, and what did they expect from it ?
A4/ A4/ To be honest, Switzerland was been running back and forth between TEDEN and ONE for a while, and I guess we just finally decided to settle down, and what greater way to do it than becoming a founding member of a new alliance? Switzerland hoped to gain more military protection, as well as friendship with our neighbors.

Q5/ Was this fulfilled
A5/ Even if we still have to sacrifice a bit for our neighbors, it is clear that Switzerland has been able to withstand many more invasions than before. Our independence as of now is proof of that!

Q6/ Do you think our nation, Belgium would fit into the alliance?
A6/ Having lived in Belgium for 6 months, I know Belgium pretty well, and I have to say that it's about time that Belgium joined the Circle of Trust! It is no secret that Belgium has been proONE almost ever since the creation of ONE, so it would definitely make sense for Belgium to join the Circle of Trust.

Q7/ Do you have an opinion about Belgium and how do you see the diplomatic status of Belgium in your country/between our both nations?
A7/ Like I said, I know tons of stuff about Belgium, and seeing as Belgium is a small country just like Switzelrand, there is no surprise that our two countries' similarities help both countries relate to one another and understand the challenges we both face. Therefore, Switzerland and Belgium are the perfect pair for each other when dealing with problems.

Q8/ Is there anything else you would like to tell us?
A8/ Soon Belgium will become a full member in the Circle of Trust, and then, that's when the party starts. Especially with all the hugging fests 😉

Greetings
