We have decided to take the initiative and make you more aware of the countries, surrounding us in the eWorld. It is important for all of us to know more about our neighbours, their history, present and future.

The Netherlands was a founding member of the Mediterranean Alliance , PEACE and the Phoenix alliance systems and often delivered prominent citizens into high-ranking positions within those organisations. The Netherlands formed for almost a year a union together with Belgium called the United Netherlands. The Netherlands joined GEA late 2011.

Since, June 24 2012, the Netherlands has been part of the EDEN alliance.

The Netherlands has signed Mutual Protection Pacts with USA, Cyprus, Turkey, Brazil, Belarus, Ireland, Finland, Argentina, Republic of China, Romania, Croatia, Portugal, Israel, Singapore, South Africa, China, Greece, Philippines, Ukraine, France, Russia, Colombia, Iran, Norway, Italy and Germany.

Q 1. Tell us more about you - who are you ingame? What did you do throughout your eLife? Also, how did you learn about eRepublik and why did you start playing it?
A 1. I started playing eRepublik because of a RL collegue, but he is eDead for a long time allready. I decided to hang around and became an active player in the Dutch community. I was elected as CP twice and next to that I had fulfilled a couple of other jobs in the community. There is a nice overview here: wiki.erepublik.com/index.php/ElGorro

Q 2/3. By the time you registered, what was the situation in eNetherlands? (Political/Military/Social). How would you describe eNetherlands now? What is the difference between now and then? Is there a positive change?(If yes, what is it?/ If no, why?)
A 2/3. We were in constant war with Poland and wiped for multiple times. We have a really small community in the Netherlands. A lot of high level players decide to move abroad, to become part of a larger community. Nothing major changed in that.

Q 4. What was your best moment in eNetherlands so far? And your worst? Why?
A 4. My best moment. Being elected for the first time. First time as Congress Member, First time as Party President, First time as Country President. The worst? RL Teenagers who think they are awesome ingame. No exact moment or time.

Q 5. What were things you wanted to accomplish when registered in eRepublik? And now, looking into the past, did you fulfill your goals.
A 5. I wanted to become active in politics. We can say I succeed in that.

Q 6. How would you describe/rate your term as president? What's your proudest achievement during your term?
A 6. During my last term as President, we became full member of EDEN. That wasn't an achievement of my own, but multiple people worked months to achieve that. The moment you can complete that process is great.

Q 7. What is your personal opinion of eBelgium? Have you ever thought of coming here?
A 7. Our countries are very alike. We have a Love–hate relationship. So one month you can expect to work together, and the next month it can be total war. And no, I personally won't leave the Netherlands as many high level player in our community do. I will have my Dutch citizenship or die.

Q 8. What do Dutch players think of eBelgium? How would they rate it from 1 to 10?
A 8. As allready in the previous question. We have a Love–hate relationship. So lets choose the avarage: 5.

Q 9. Is there anything else you would like to tell us?
A 9. No, not at this moment.
